earningscalls.dev vs Finnhub
The short version
Finnhub: Real-time quotes, fundamentals and estimates with transcripts sold separately.
earningscalls.dev: one job, done deeply. 248,529 earnings call transcripts from 12,702 companies, free to read on the site, available as JSON through the earnings call API or to AI agents through the MCP server, from $24.99/month.
Strong for real-time market data. But if transcripts are what you came for, the cheapest published Finnhub tier already costs about twice our Pro plan, and transcripts are not part of the all-in-one bundle.

Which one fits your use case
- You are building a product or pipeline on transcript text. You want flat JSON, speaker segments and predictable per-request pricing. Start with the earnings call transcript API; the free tier is enough to prototype.
- You want an AI assistant to read calls for you. Connect Claude or any MCP client once and ask in plain English - see the MCP server.
- You just want to read a specific call. Every transcript is free on this site, no account: browse the latest transcripts.
- You need broker research, expert calls or a full research suite. That is not us. An enterprise platform is the honest answer, and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise.
