Guidance
Guidance is management's own forward-looking estimate of future results — typically revenue, earnings per share and margins — given on an earnings call. Whether a company raises, lowers or maintains guidance is one of the single biggest drivers of the post-earnings stock move, often more than the reported quarter itself.
