executiveGood afternoon. Welcome back from the holidays. I hope you had a night's rest. And as far as I'm concerned, I spent maybe 10 days of holidays in Sardinia, but I was actually so busy that I don't know whether it's really holiday, but it was a pleasure. So thank you very much for being back again and tonight, we would like to give you a good update on 2024, and we would like to discuss '25 and '26 as well. As usual, all of us are around the table here. So how is this going to happen? I will read the complete half year figures. So then Dario, our CFO, will go into tiny details. Then I will take the floor again to discuss 2024 and then Luca will give a world overview of an update on how things are going, then I'll speak again and we'll have an analytical summary of who we are today. So based on the last 6 months results in particular. And then we'll share our vision for 2025 and 2026. Now let me read some of our data to you. The revenues stand at EUR 620 million with excellent sales results, increasing 14% at current exchange rates and 14.7% at constant exchange rates versus the first half of 2023. EBIT stands at EUR 104 million, up 19% compared to EUR 87 million of June 30 last year, with a margin of 16.9%, which is increasing versus 16.1% of June 30, 2023. So net profit stands at EUR 66 million with a margin of 10.6%, up 31% versus last year's net profit and offset by the effect of an extraordinary capital gain which is relevant to Cariaggi, as you know. Investments are nearly EUR 50 million versus EUR 34.9 million last year, which is a part of the major plan that will support our growth project and guarantee production capacity for the next decade and more. The core net financial debt stands at EUR 68 million versus EUR 38 million last year. The excellent health of the brand and very interesting sales were reported in our stores allow us to confirm a nice growth, which we expect for 2024, and we expect revenues to grow by about 10%. Now let me talk about the future. The very beautiful spring/summer 2025 sales campaigns that have now been completed for men and near completion for women, reinforced our forecast of an equally beautiful growth for 2025 as well in the region of 10%. With the goal of doubling revenues by 2030. You're all familiar with our 2024-2030 plan. So we have introduced the company's website in [ Milano ]. We built it with artificial intelligence. It's a site without pages, where content flows and combined in front of the visitors. Trying to understand and to follow the user's intentions, thanks to the new Solomeo AI technology. We'll discuss this later. It's really interesting. I will be receiving on October 29, a very important and prestigious award, WWD John B. Fairchild Award in America. I will receive this in October. And this is an award which is compared by WWW, this magazine which is considered to be the bible of fashion globally. And apparently, this is further strengthening our brand image. Now let me read my quilt. We closed the first half of 2024, with particularly pleasing results. Sales were excellent. Profits were positive and balanced. The brand is fit and healthy and the feedback on our product offering was highly favorable. We completed the 2024 summer sales very successfully. We have completed them now. And the winter sales were off to a very good start. All this leads us to confirm our guidance of revenue growth for financial year 2024, of around 10% with healthy and sustainable profits. We're also particularly pleased with the presentation in July in Milan to the world press of our new company website, which we have built together with artificial intelligence. We designed a website without pages, where content flows and combines in front of the visitor, thanks to technology that seeks to understand and follow the users' intent, creating what they see on the spot. Now this is a very beautiful project, and it's been 3 years in the making. We have called this technology Solomeo AI to support Solomeo again, and we believe this new website is truly very special also thanks to the endorsement we have received from our friends in the AI world. The kids, as we call them from Silicon Valley. Furthermore, I'm deeply grateful move to announce that they will be presented with the WWD John B. Fairchild Honor next October in New York in the memory of legendary publisher of the magazine often referred to as the Bible of Global Fashion. I'm deeply honored to be the recipient of such a prestigious award, which are considered to be attributed to the dignity of work, to my people, their creative genius and industrious nature as well to our land of Umbria and its sprituality, which is actually what they wrote in their motivations. This new recognition and the excellent results of the spring/summer 25 sales campaigns. The men's has already been completed and the women's is soon to be concluded, allows us to reaffirm with confidence and conviction. Our guidance of an equally beautiful growth for 2025, around 10% as well as our plan to double our turnover by 2030. Now Dario, I am yielding the floor to you for a detailed presentation of the financial statements.

executiveGood evening, everyone, and thank you, Brunello. I would like to start with the usual analysis of the main economic and financial dynamics for the 6 -- first half of 2024. The final revenue figures concern the preliminary date of July 11 in our P&L with the growth in turnover at current exchange rates of 14.1%, which would be 14.7% at constant exchange rates. I will now proceed directly to the comments on the other items in the P&L with the support of the slides in the analyst presentation. Slide 16 shows a balanced margin and cost structure with EBIT at June 30, 2024, up 19.3% and as against the date of June 30 last year. First, margin is up 18.8% and it represents 74.5% of revenues versus 71.5% in June 2023 and 72.5% on December 31. This increase is mainly attributable to both the positive contribution of the sales mix and to the expansion of in-house production and by in expansion of in-house production, we referred to the opening of facilities dedicated to the production of top craftsmanship of outerwear and tailor suits for men. And I'm referring in particular to the factories of Penne, Abruzzo in the second half of 2023 and recently Gubbio in Umbria. This process of in-house creation of certain processes were engaged in, has a lower incidence of production costs but on the other hand, it means higher operating costs, mainly personnel costs. Therefore, commenting on the income statement and operating costs, which increased by 21.4%. We can actually say that these are due to the aforementioned in-house process the select growth of our network, the development of new initiatives both in the commercial and noncommercial area and important and consolidated investments in communication. Now the latter and here, we move to Slide 18. As of June 30, 2024, stand at EUR 44.6 million with an incidence of 7.2% as against 6.7% or 6.9%, respectively in June, December 2023. We're still at Slide 18. So the cost of personnel is EUR 113.2 million, and it shows an increase of 21.3%, which is more than portion to the growth in turnover with an incidence of 18.2%. It used to be 17.2% in June last year, 17.9% at the year-end of 2022. As of June 30, 2024, we remind you that the number of human resources amounted to 3,021 full-time equivalents with an increase of 490 FTEs attributable in particular to production workers within the framework of the above mentioned project in the growth of our craftsmanship structure. And personnel cost does include the accounting effect of the new stock grant plan, which was approved by the shareholders meeting last April. Still on Slide 18, the cost of rental, net of the effect of the implementation of IFRS 16 amounted to EUR 87.2 million or plus 14.1%, up 18.8% versus EUR 73.4 million or 13.5%, we posted at June 30, 2023. The cost of rent is growing mainly because of new and selected openings and renovations, major expansions and relocations we carried out in this timeframe. To conclude on the comment on Slide 18, depreciation and amortization stands at EUR 73.2 million versus EUR 67.1 million of June 30, 2023. As a result of all this, as anticipated in the introduction, EBIT as of June 30, 2024, was EUR 104.6 million, up 19.3% with an operating margin of 16.9% versus 16.1% last June 2023. Against this growth in EBIT and after financial expenses which is minus EUR 9.3 million and a tax rate of 30.6%, net profit as of June 30, 2024, was EUR 66.1 million, with a margin of 10.6%. Now let's go back for a second to Slide 19 on financial management. Here, we shared the usual breakdown of that highlights, a component that we could define as recurring on which we can actually project expectations for the year, and separated from a component which is more closely linked to exchange rate fluctuations and by a further nonrecurring component. The ordinary and recurring component, which increased by EUR 2.6 million is mainly attributable to financial charges calculated on leasing liabilities, which amounted to EUR 9.2 million as of June 30, 2024, versus EUR 5.9 million at June 30, 2023. This increase is due to new lease agreements and rental agreements, which refer to new and select openings and to the renewal of certain existing stores. The nonrecurring component as of June 30, 2023, was significantly impacted by the contribution of the extraordinary capital gain generated by the sale of a minority stake in Lanificio Cariaggi to Chanel. Finally, to conclude on the profit and loss account, we note that the estimate made for the determination of the tax burden as of 30 June 2024 reflects some dynamics among which the elimination of the benefits deriving from [ ACE ] -- effects that we imagined to be slightly diluted over the end of the year. Then now moving on to Slide 20 and following. I would like to share some brief comments on the following items of the balance sheet such as net working capital, investments, net financial debt. Net working capital, including other current assets or liabilities that amounted to EUR 200.6 million, with a ratio of 15.5% of sales compared to 15.7% of the 31st December 2023. Looking at the details that make it up. Trade receivables confirm an extremely healthy situation. They show a slight increase equal in absolute value to EUR 5.2 million despite a significant increase in turnover with particular reference to the wholesale channel equal to 13.1%. The payment terms to suppliers, coworkers and third-party consultants remained unchanged. With trade payables amounting to EUR 162 million, slightly lower than EUR 166.2 million as of 31st December 2023. Inventory as a percentage of rolling turnover for the last 12 months was 28.1% back to an ordinary level for our business. Following last year's reduction to a 25.2% as of 31st December 2023, mainly ascribable to the extraordinary sales performance during the year. Lastly, the net current assets and liabilities showed a negative balance of EUR 62.1 million as of 30th of June '24 compared to EUR 20.9 million in December 2023 with changes mainly ascribable to the fair value of derivative instruments, hedging the exchange rate risk and the balances of tax receivables and payables. To conclude, the typical net financial debt on Slide 23, amounted to EUR 68.7 million as of 30 June '24 compared to EUR 38.6 million as of 30 June '23, thanks to the positive economic results of the last 12 months despite the important investment plan of the semester for EUR 44 -- I would say, EUR 45 million, as you can see in Slide 21, and the payment of dividends for a total of EUR 66.1 million. executiveYes. Thank you. So we are particularly pleased as you might gather. So what about 2024? So the start of the winter collection was very positive. [ Yoyo ] style is very much appreciated. So we are very positive about the coming months. Last year, we had a very good season and hopefully, this year, too. So we envisage 2024 as a very, very good year with a nice growth in turnover and a healthy good balance net profit. So before Luca takes the floor, who will give you a world market overview, I'd like to make just a tiny remark on the markets about the product. Honestly speaking, I don't think that human beings have stopped paying attention to what to wear. I would say it's the opposite, but we have to take note of the fact the 3 important factors that should not be underestimated, at least in our business. We believe that collections in general, and I'm saying this because we spent 2 months of sales campaign, and you see multi-brands tell us what they believe and what they are complaining about is that there is too much evergreen products. And they also say that there is lack of exclusive distribution as well as lack of exclusive communication. And then they also known the fact that sometimes prices are too high compared to what they should be. And this is very strongly felt, what we believe about evergreen and price increases. So for us, these scrutiny is very, very important. So now Luca, perhaps you can tell us something about the world market.

executiveYes, and I would start from there on July. So on July 11, talking about absolute luxury, we described an excellent situation of our sales on both markets and sales channels. Now we can say that in a market with different performance depending on the different brands. Well, for us, the scenario has not changed and sales in July and August went very well. So we closed an excellent summer season, and we already have the winter season on the shelves. So let's start from the retail. Direct stores in July and August, they reported a healthy growth of sales then by geography, United States, for us, extremely fit for us, sensible growth shared by all stores. By the way, we're always talking about absolute luxury Brunello, just saying, because we don't want to express a judgment on the market in general, but absolute luxuries. So significant growth shared by all stores, men's and women's and well distributed across the whole product categories. China, very well, especially in Mainland China. And Europe also very sound. Perhaps the only thing to note is that the contribution of Paris was slightly less during the Olympics, but it was -- a very excellent season was reported in the resorts. In any case, across the world, there is a continuous ongoing pursuit for special well-made items. And clients and customers tend to choose items that stir emotion and can last longer. And then novelty also plays an important role. So we were never fascinated by the idea of putting together a business of carryovers, we tried to focus more on designing modern and contemporary collections. Digital sales also very well. And as far as we are concerned, we definitely benefited from the interest that was stirred by the presentation of our new website with artificial intelligence and one month down the way we can now say that the results, thanks to the new website particularly stellar. Why is that? Not just because the overall traffic has increased, but also the interaction with visitors has increased as well as the duration of visits, just think that in the new website, over 70% of people asked direct questions or searched for specific interesting areas, really entertaining a dialogue with the website. And in other 30% of the cases, visitors basically followed the flow of content because the AI was able to understand the intention of users. So we had no abandoned visits. So this leads us to say that the fascination and the benefit of novelty was stronger then the fact of feeling at a loss because there were no pages. And this ability to interact between the website and the visitor is very promising, especially if we think about the application of the next technology in the e-commerce website very well. Let's now go back to results. So based on what was said before and fully aware of the fact that last year, we experienced a great 12 months. We are now looking at the second half of this year with realism in a realistic manner, but also in a confident way. And this comes from the first encouraging feedbacks on the winter items in our stores. Therefore, for the second half 2, we envisage yet another great retail season. Now wholesale. So we excelled in shipments, yes, it's very important when you can actually deliver on time. So the timeliness and also the quality of shipments and deliveries because we had complete deliveries. This enables us to start to -- for our multibrand channel to be off to a good start. In the first half, we experienced an ongoing request for goods from our clients. First, in terms of reassortment and also as an advance on the winter clothes. But in spite of that, in the multibrand channel, too, we envisage a great result also in the second half. And then the as to the -- as to orders, we are very happy with the results of our sales campaign because they support our growth forecast. So in a nutshell, everything excellent, in line with our plans. And I have to say that looking at 2025, that said, we expect to be as present as possible on the market in a careful way. And we are convinced that we can still grow gradually and significantly in the number of customers through our network, be it retail, wholesale, physical and digital. And we still feel that a huge contribution is provided by all the events we organized worldwide, 100 of guests every time because these events for us represent one of the most effective ways of communication, even more valuable because it is invisible. So it is definitely under the banner of exclusivity that Brunello mentioned before. It is a very effective tool for us.

executiveSo 2024, as we said, we talked about it. But actually, 2024, we changed something because we would like it to be the first year of our new 5-year plan. Last year, we thought it could be 2023. Then after careful review, we basically analyzed for 6 months who we are today. And I will like to give you a few details on this. So 2023 is the last year of the 5-year plan, 2019-2023, where we achieved very good results and also doubled our turnover. So who are we today? 5 minutes, but very, very interesting because we spent 6 months of this. So we have done a great deal of internal and external work on who we are. And our project is now between 3 and 7 years, 7 years because 2030 is the year when we would like to double. So this study, or the research will be the topic of the big discussion as a so-called council of the 100, which meets every 2 years, where we always take stock of everything. It is a very important appointment on our agenda the keyword of this analysis is balanced. So who are we today? So we think that we are a company that achieved the total post-pandemic rebalancing. We have a total balance with our employees in the factory and in our stores. 38 years on average company-wide, with 2 CEOs and CFOs, 45 years on average. And then 44 years of average is the top managers. So it's great to have a young company. We think we have achieved a great balance. We are valued, direct and non-direct artists and employees. And we have no platforms or middle men. This is important for you to know. Then a great balance with the existing and prospective company spaces and the ones that we are about to build. We feel that we have a lot of modernity in our showrooms and boutiques around the world. And you know that if your showroom ages, the product ages as well. If -- a few years ago, 10 years ago, stores could live well as they were for 6, 7, 8 years. Now it is no longer the case. Showrooms, you have to change them every one year, 1.5 years, [ in ] stores, too. So balance equilibrium, we believe by the direction of the exclusive network of boutiques and the great balance in services between retail and life science spaces. So we were talking about the little boy on Madison Avenue in New York. People stop over in the morning to have a cappuccino and maybe they don't shop there, but this boy has given very good results for us. So we feel we have a great possible equilibrium with our multi-brand stores. We now have 400 stores. We have projects for the next 3 to 5 years. And also these new projects are very, very relevant for retail. Also, we have a balance in sales, 50% men, 50% women, and once again, balance in the range of collections we offer for years now, our men's and women's collections are well balanced, and we successfully added eyewear and fragrances. Great balance is also achieved through international awards received in the last few years, including the next one in October, which is particularly relevant because it comes from the U.S. [ thread ] press. And finally, we think we have very good balance in international pricing, [ 121, 128 ] globally and profits, too. So by the end of 2023, we were included in the FTSE MIB index. Frankly, we think we also have good balance in stock market value. In 2019, we were evaluated to be EUR 2.650 billion. In 2023, were evaluated to be worth EUR 6 billion, which means that during pandemics, we doubled our figures. We doubled revenues, we increased the price in -- on the stock exchange by 130%. And I actually turned 70% myself. This is actually prompted us to review who the company is and what it stands for. So I realize we have been talking about balance and balance and balance, maybe too often, but this is actually how it looks to us. And also, Luca sees us with fresh eyes, and it's really pleasing to see that -- he told us something recently, and he says, maybe we're going through our first major springtime. So it's a very ambitious definition, but we love it. So thank you, Luca. So now after this very careful analysis, we should imagine a 3-year period, '24, '25, '26 where we plan to grow by about 10%. We keep net profit well balanced and growing, investment should be ideally 8%. In 2024, alone, we'll invest in 9.3% because 1.3%, 1.4% will actually come from the big investments we've made in 2023. Throughout image and communication, well, we've organized so many events. We have 6.765% investments in image and communication, dividends will stand at around 50% of profit. So this should be our plan for '24, '25 and '26, and we've planned to double turnover by 2030. So to conclude this great analysis over the last 6 months, first and foremost, we believe in product. It should be contemporary and fresh. But there is a big issue. We should always keep in mind. We should never forget to look at our business towards the last 3 to 5 years. If we look at the next 3 months, 5 months or whatever, is far less interesting. And actually, this is what we're working. I mean this is what we're doing in our work where today, we work in the collection, you'll buy in October 2025. So we don't want to become arrogant. We don't want to be rivaling against each other. We want to keep a healthy remuneration and compensation. If it's just a percentage, a big percentage is made up of the bonus, it creates a lot of rivalry and we don't like that. We like collaboration more. So we would like to keep going as we do. So major events, we consider this new website as a special event because eventually, it was a very nice invention. That's what we heard. But I think that the advantage we'll have through e-commerce, well, you know that today, a lot of -- well, of ladies ask us, can you help us choose outfits for our husbands. So they may be billionaires, but they're not fashion experts. And so you see, you'll call us and say through the website. I have a nice evening out in New York City, what should I wear? Of course, you will never suggest you wear somebody else's fashion, but we'll be happy to provide good hints and suggestions. Now just a quick review of the main events we're planning. On December 12, we'll gather in Solomeo for a beautiful event on fragrances, we'll invite 200 important perfumers from all over the world, multibrands. I will present the second collection of fragrances. So the first was the 2 key basics. We're very happy with 3 years on them. But then eventually, basics will stay basics, $220. That's the men's and women's basics fragrances. They're performing really well. And I will add new items, the yearly collection of 4, 5 fragrances will be priced around EUR 300. So the price point of fragrances will be in tune with that of ready-to-wear. Then we'll have a beautiful event at the Milan Stock Exchange on September 30. We asked the stock exchange to organize a little gratitude dinner. After our listen, we called it the gratitude dinner and will invite some of our friends who are thinking of going public, some friends who have gone public already. So stock exchange, people said, anyone can come, the analysts, investors, then, of course, we absolutely love being on the stock exchange. So we'll thank investors and analysts and everyone through this dinner. Then another big event will happen in Shanghai. On this 22nd and 23rd of October, we'll be in Shanghai to thank our Chinese counterparties for receiving last year, the best designer prize in China. So this is really beautiful. So you see how much have been planning to travel in the next 4 months. So now on October 29, as soon as we're back from China, we'll go to New York immediately. The men's collection will be nearly completed by them. Then in New York City, we'll receive this beautiful prize and award. It was received in the past by [ my master ] Ralph Lauren, Karl Lagerfeld, Leonard Lauder, Giorgio Armani, Miuccia Prada, Tommy Hilfiger and Maria Grazia Chiuri. So it's a very important award and we'll be extremely honored to receive it. Another very important event will be in -- on the 14th and 15th on November, on wine. And this is kind of a world premiere. We can't yet tell you about the brand will collaborate with. We will present the Castello di Solomeo wine globally. We'll have about 250 people from all over the world, wine producers, collectors, wine enthusiasts, and it should actually give a great image to wine and Solomeo. So you know by now that Solomeo is part and parcel of our brand. Then we'll have year-end dinners with you, investors and analysts. So normally in our Casa Cucinelli locations, we'll have dinners in Milan, Paris, London, New York, Milan would be the last. So there, we will meet investors and some analysts. So we've been doing this year-end dinners for 3, 4 years now, and it's really, really interesting because gathering 30, 40, 50 people together over dinner and having a nice friendly chat is of good mutual help. So we'll hand December with a dinner in Los Angeles with our friends from Silicon Valley, the CEOs of this technology firms. And the other dinner will be done with celebrities, which we are very happy to have as guests. So in conclusion, really important, so do please listen carefully. So our family is dedicated exclusively to our business. I've always thought that when you do something, you have to try and do that and give it your undivided attention. So let's focus, Camilla, Carolina, my daughter, Riccardo, Alessio their husbands, myself and Luca, whom we consider to be a part of the family, will live the company on a daily basis. And this is our only job and just a job. We do not hide that we've taken care of what we call the territory, the local communities as much as we can, we believe in the value of the local communities, which is composed of churches, monasteries, theaters, basilicas. So we have collaborated with all of them. And hopefully, I will be helped to get to heaven when the time comes. But the local community, of course, includes a lot of human beings. And so on a very private basis, our family supported 2 friends who had some temporary needs, and this was a very private endeavor. But this is -- was not an investment. It was just a little support, you see what a plant is, I don't know, a peace tree full of ripe peaches need some supports otherwise, it's branches may break. This is what we did. We'd gave some help to families, to friendships from my childhood and these are supports, not investments. So do remember that we are not going to be starting to work in cement or whatever. So there's 2 friends are called [indiscernible], who is a cement manufacturer and another friend from my childhood, Carla [ Juliette ], beautiful company producing furniture for bars and shops and has a beautiful company with 750 employees locally. So these are support and help and aid not investments. So personally, I'm really grateful to all of them for what they gave back because this friend of mine, Mr. [ Juliette ], when he was 50 and I was 40, he told the banks, "Sir, do give your money to Brunello because he's a serious man." So any kind of debt of gratitude is a major item and major theme for us. So that's all. We are very happy because collections performed really well just before the summer. For the men's collections, we also received feedback from the press. For the women's collection we'll present it in Milan in September 20. But understanding that for the first 6 months of 2025, we'll have top quality collections we can count on is good for our peace of mind. And I was looking at someone that [indiscernible] wrote and they said, "Do not be afraid." We were discussing this at the Board meeting this morning, and we said, why should we be afraid? We should not be afraid of too many things. And then eventually, [indiscernible], a mathematician and philosopher, she said "Study, forget and invent." So we need to be brave enough and have a company which needs to come up with something new day in, day out. And this is actually what we did with our new website right now. So thanks for your trust. analystI have 3 questions. The first one, you and Luca mentioned it, about the outlook on the different geographies, but there is still a lot of discussion ongoing about Asia. I -- we know that you can only talk about your specific segment, but maybe you can spend a few more words. You mentioned Mainland China. Maybe you can talk about Korea, Japan, some general consideration.

analystSecond -- yes, the second question on the gross margin figure, anything to say about the second half of the year and the effect of this production being in-sourced? And could it -- can it be compare also to 2023, can it be strong enough in comparison 2023. And the third question has to do with leases? Well, rents have gone up. Is this a trend that is now softening like inflation, does it still play a role this rent increase or it only has to do with increase in footage. Any comments on this? And also the net debt at the end of the year, to what amount did it amount? Because it was pretty good compared to the expectation at the end of June, but perhaps you paid some taxes back to understand what a reasonable expectation is for the end of the year.

executiveSo I would start from Asia. So you already commented in July that Japan experienced a very favorable year receiving a lot of traffic from the other Asian countries and Japan is still experiencing a very good momentum. Then as to Korea, we still have a distribution agreement existing with Shinsegae, imports and partner. We have a great plan with them that concerns both department stores and our sole monobrands, and results are more than pleasing there, too. Now looking at China, we talked about Mainland China, and across the whole region, in all our stores, regardless of the position, you see our stores performed well. The overall traffic inside the malls, as we already said in July is slightly more sluggish than last year, but our conversion rate enables us to compensate.

executiveAndrea, I'd like to add something on this. So what is very strongly felt is the idea is that you see customers as soon as they step into the store, they are somehow attached. And you see, but of course, if you work and earn thanks to your provisions then that's what you want to do. You basically hassle customers for them to make -- force them to make a sale. And this is very strongly felt. So whereas we keep arguing that one needs to be kind in approaching customers, you see some customers might not even buy anything. You see we have 85% of the wages of our employees are fixed of our people staffing the stores. And Andrea, as to our positioning, we see we do not really need huge traffic for the kind of positioning that we have. So our result does not at all depend on these numbers. But you see we read very interesting and pleasing things about our sales staff. You see that the President of Liverpool, who actually mentioned precisely this. He said they're all very kind, this sales associates. We are all tired to be hassled all the time, to be under pressure. We are fed up with it. We are always pleased with the complement like this because we keep going back to places where we feel comfortable. Nobody likes to be attacked, so to speak. So as to the second question, as Dario was saying, and this is the CEO speaking. This is the result of a whole host of factors. The most important one being internationalization of production. But this showed completely -- was visible in the first half, so the second half will have a similar result. And we do not expect production internationalization to translate -- sorry, the in-sourcing, not internationalization, in-sourcing. Yes, this gives us a great guarantee, especially for the men's tailored blazers. It's very difficult to make, and this speaks for a very bright future in the coming years. We do very big, very special products. So the insourcing of production was this. And the effect showed over the 12 months, and you actually see this in mirrors and reflects upon the growth in terms of personnel. So in the first half of 2024, the effect is structural. So then about rents, what Brunello says, I see no trouble there, no difficulty. That's a great standardization, I would say. Luca agrees. Yes, we renewed some imports and contracts so that we can be confident about the next years. We have the locations in the front streets, they never lose value. They did not demand anything too high. You know that, that kind of prime location needs to be paid -- as special -- it has a price attached to, but the incidence of lease is just normal, 13%, 14% is what we expect. Then on your last question, the net debt, as of 30th of June, the number there mirrors the effect of the payment of EUR 30 million tax on July 1 when these taxes were due. So we do not expect anything hugely different at the end of the year. But in that case, too, Andrea, we don't think we will carry that much debt. Brunello says we work in a very serene way. Of course, my thought has always been that you should never have too much cash. I would like to -- rather have a very contemporary cutting-edge company rather than a company full of cash. executiveNo, no, no, Oriana, this is -- everything you heard is budgeted for. What does not change -- what does change is our weight because we take part in so many dinners that you see -- we believe that this is very important for the image of Solomeo, the image of the product and ourselves. But this will -- is not bound to change. No expenses in communications. No significant change there. And I think that we got the autumn, fall, winter communication right. I don't know whether you saw all the images of the great ladies in the history, gentle luxury, that's for sure. Yes, and also a very nice statement on gentle luxury as a symbol of tailored beauty and a symbol of living according to measure or within measure. We need to go back to that. And I believe that in apparel, clothing too, we are going -- striking the balance again or going back to balance, because some people are saying, well, things are not going that well. Well, you see if you have EUR 10 billion, and if you can confirm your EUR 10 billion, I don't think that's too bad. But this is just my thoughts. And maybe 3, 4 years ago, you had EUR 3 billion, so Oriana, one thing is sure, in 2019, nearly all of us where -- you have half the revenues and half the stock price on the stock exchange. executiveWe believe that 3.54% is accounted for by price because the cost of raw material is -- has unchanged. And this is just the increase in the personnel cost. So 7%, 8% of the growth is items, 3%, 4% is value. The raw materials are stable. An important thing for us is the following: the value of how to pay for -- to pay our factory workers. You see this has translated into a huge difference, just the fact that we decided to call our workers golden and then platinum, you really cannot imagine how many applications we receive on a daily basis from young people who want to take up a job as simple as a factory worker and knowing that they are aiming for gold or platinum. Perhaps we sound a bit too confident. But honestly speaking, we really wanted to convey what we did in the last 6 months of scrutinizing our company. Of course, we are a small business compared to others. But even if in 2030, we are able to double our revenues. And if we were to have EUR 2.324 billion revenues, the value will be the same as today. You should consider that we sell to 400,000 customers. They -- who buy 1.9 million pieces, so what 3, 4 items each including socks or a pocket square, that's an item, too. And I always prefer customers who shop once a year instead of 50 times a year because if they shop 50 times a year with your brand, then they are fed up with it, we keep hammering the very same things. But we believe that with -- these are our techniques.

And what do you expect this collection? How do you expect it to grow?

executiveI can talk about the kids collection, Brunello says. So as to kids, we have our collection with 33, 34 clients. It is a [ minimi ] collection for us. We are very pleased with how things are going. It is a great project. We do not show it across all the different stores because we need space to showcase that collection, too. It's part of our balanced growth. We have many well off young people who buy kids clothes, of course, and blazer for a child costs more or less the same as one for a grownup, but the taste is very much in keeping and in line. As to openings, let me give you an answer. Toronto, a great mall opened a few days ago, one, the [ SKP ] this great chain of department stores, SKP, sorry. And at the end of the year, we would like to expand the Bond Street store in London. So the aim is always the same. We want to have 2, 3, 4 openings, depend, well, you need to find the location first. And then 4, 5 either we redo the store or we expand it, considering that in the first half, we only opened Miami this year is complete. And for 20 -- well, 2025 is all basically secured in contracts. executiveSo Melanie, you also had a question on tax credit. We think we have a dilution of the [ tax ] that brought it to 30.6% at the end of the first half. So we are likely to go back to our usual 29% tax rate. Yes. But Melanie, please remember that for 6 years now, our government has been supporting us with lots of bonuses. So I'm always a supporter of Italy for 6 years. We paid 23%, 25% taxes thanks to bonuses. And this year, it's going to be 29%, but 29% is not too bad tax rate for a company which is located in Italy, deeply Italian that we firmly believe in.

I wondered if I could confirm a comment on the call with regards to the commentary by region I think you said that there was no change in July and August by region to call out from the July 11 conference call. And secondly, on that, I wanted to ask about the expectations for the second half and what area or region gives you most concern for the slowdown implied for the 10% for the full year after the 14% in H1.

executiveThank you, Louise. Now as to the performance in July and August, we said that all regions confirm their very good performance. Now we were discussing about realism and trust earlier. So we don't see any special slowdown. We don't consider this as a slowdown but we are confident we're going to have a very good season. Like we had a very beautiful season last year in the second half, said Mr. Cucinelli. Now in the second half of 2022 -- sorry, of '23, we grew by 18% and 22% altogether for the full year. So this is our benchmark. So we should look at our results and performance in terms of percentage growth and in terms of absolute value, which is just as important. As to the impact and weight of individual regions, we believe that the mix for the first half would not be too different from the second half. Then there may be slight oscillations and ups and downs in different channels or different regions. But basically, we expect this year we'll have a beautiful, well-balanced turnover, well-distributed growth throughout our regions and through both sales channels. So we always think [ 35, 36 ] U.S. [ 37 ] Europe and [ 27, 28 ] for East. The purpose in a number of years is 1/3, 1/3, 1/3 roughly speaking. But altogether, I'm really happy to see how we're performing in America personally because when products are performing well in the U.S., well, that really makes a difference because a lot of Asian customers I mean, if a product is successful in Asia, at times, we Westerners are a bit snubbish. And so when products are successful in America or Europe, then we can actually relax. So my only concern is whether products are old and look old. Right now, our products are very contemporary. So we're very confident. All the awards we are receiving will certainly help, too. So I think there's a beautiful balance there in the fashion industry in general.

If we can get a little bit more color from a quantitative perspective, if you are able to at least provide some directional color on whether growth is roughly in line with the kind of number you printed in Q2, I think, 14% in retail? Or is it seeing any kind of moderation we should be aware of? Secondly, on the [ EBIT ] margin, I think the previous guidance on the previous call for the full year as we see an EBIT margin expansion of around 20 to 30 bps. On the back of the very strong H1, are you expecting this to change? Because if we do the math, 20 to 30 bps for the full year now basically implies H2 margin to be down. So very keen to hear your thoughts on that.

executiveOkay. Excellent. Chris, so as far as EBITDA is concerned, we're going to have a beautiful year, hopefully. So to be very honest with you, we expect a very good year. So that's why in the second half, we expect results to be very good. So of course, we did have a very good first half to begin with. And so we believe we are going to have a very good second half, too, where everything is going according to plan. It's going really well. So we're not working under stress we're not constantly hunting for the next 10 or 20 bps. So that's the spirit. This is the only way for us to have creativity at play day in, day out. So the company is very creative as we speak, but this freedom of creativity also comes because we are not obsessed with the desperate hunt for the last 10, 20 basis points. I mean if we only look at the next 3 months, we may be very good in the eyes of some investors, but we're not serving the best interest of the company. We are serving the best interest of the company if we know what we're going to do in the next 3 years, 5 years, 10 years. And this is the results we have obtained with all of our inventions, including the big novelty of the new website. So Chris, we are right on track. Come see us as soon as possible.

So the first is, when you were talking about current tradings, I think you were making a distinction between Mainland China's demand versus global Chinese demand for this cluster. I know you're less [ substrate ] than other houses to travel spending. But is there any change in August there?

executiveNow actually, to tell you the truth, we are -- I mean, wherever we go, it's full of people. The little town where I was born is out in the middle of nowhere Solomeo is even further out in the middle of nowhere, and that's now full of people. And Sardinia is even more full. So wherever we travel, we see people traveling everywhere. Tourism is flowing everywhere. So of course, you need to have beautiful products, beautiful store windows. You need the right timing too because if you walk into a store where people are nice and friendly and welcoming, at least I'm speaking of our customers, they tend to be pretty well off people, and they want to be properly welcomed. So I recently went to a restaurant where I spent EUR 500, and the wine list was like EUR 2,000 for a wine, which is worth EUR 200, EUR 250 for the one we buy for our company. And I know it costs EUR 25. So at the end, they said, well, will I see you next week? And I said, I am afraid you'll never see me again. So we need balance here. We need to strike a new determined balance. Actually, we do have affluent people. They're wealthy. They have a high spending capacity. But if they turn their back on you, they'll never come back to your store again. So if I want to buy a car, and I know your EBIT on the car is ridiculous, I'm not going to buy it. I mean, we need more balance. There's a new sensitivity. So we have people everywhere. We have travelers and tourists everywhere. You can't find a sleep anywhere. I went to a little hotel and I paid EUR 4,900 where you would buy -- normally sleep for EUR 1,700. And I said I'd rather sleep in my car. I feel I'm being tricked. I'm being swindled. So we need to strike a new balance, all of us, especially when you read everything about everyone. So if you see that things swing widely in such a short period of time. I mean, it feels like you have been swindled. It's like the restaurant example. So yesterday, I was watching TV in Italy. And I was looking at watermelon that sells for EUR 45, a spaghetti that sells for EUR 40. I mean, it doesn't make sense. It's ridiculous. So we do manufacture costly products, expensive products, but we still need balance. And I'm saying this for us in the fashion industry on a very friendly basis, in very friendly terms. So from 2019 to today, our EBITDA increased from 19% to 28% in our industry. So you, analysts, investors ourselves, do we all think it's normal? I think it's not. I think we need to strike a new balance. Personally, I'm not prepared to be swindled to overpay something. I mean, if prices are out of this world, I may buy something which is really expensive, but it must be worth it. I don't want to be ripped off.

analystYes. My second question is kind of connected here. So 16.9% in the first half is an operating margin, which is not too far from the top range of our expectations as far as margins are concerned. So maybe you'll reinvest even more in your business? And if yes, where are you going to invest?

executiveNow the problem is not investing. The problem is creativity because we do make investments, we have no financial problem. This is a beautiful EBITDA, slightly better -- sorry, EBIT is slightly better than our expectations, but this is us. So it's not a problem to get the right means to make investments. The problem is the opposite here. So as soon as you walk into a store, you need to find gentleness. If you see a product in the storefront window, it needs to be justified. I mean, a watermelon that selles at EUR 45 doesn't make sense. A wine list, when you know that a wine normally sells at EUR 200 and you see it's EUR 2,000. It doesn't make sense. It's a rip-off. It's ridiculous. So we never launched resources to make investments we had planned. So we need exclusive products. We need very well-done products, there should be an adopt and people need to be at ease as soon as they walk into our stores. People spend an average of 32 minutes in our stores. They used to be 18 minutes as an average. Now we have this little bars, top-level bars, and it's more welcoming. Whilst someone is shopping, their spouses may be having coffee and feeling welcome and easy there.
