Unknown Attendee
attendeeAll right, welcome back inside our proactive newsroom. And joining me now is Claudia Tornquist. She's the CEO of Kodiak Copper Corp. And Claudia, it's great to see you again. How are you?
Claudia Tornquist
executiveI am very well. Thanks for having me. It's great to be here.
Unknown Attendee
attendeeYes. Exciting news to talk about. We'll get to that in just a second, but I know that you just like literally days ago, wrapped up the exploration program for 2022. And it's been a busy one you've done a lot this year. Maybe just put a cap on what was going on this past year?
Claudia Tornquist
executiveIt's certainly been a busy year for Kodiak. We have a big drill program that we've just completed. 25,000 meters were planned. We're slightly over even and had also a lot of sampling, big soil sampling program going on, geophysical surveys going on, so some trenching going on, so big systematic exploration project across the whole of the property.
Unknown Attendee
attendeeYes. And now you've been able to discover a new gold zone, and that's significant when we talk about a gold zone. So tell me a little bit about -- is it Beyer? Is that the name of the new zone?
Claudia Tornquist
executiveIt's certainly an exciting new development at MPD. It's a discovery of a gold-silver precious metals zone at surface. And very importantly, it's within a large area with multiple other gold surface anomalies. It's a corridor of over 2 kilometers in length. So certainly exciting new development and additional upside and potential for our shareholders.
Unknown Attendee
attendeeYes. And it's also interesting because as you mentioned, it's gold there. We, obviously, have lots of targets where you're looking at copper as well, but to have that gold part of it really does add value into the project. Is that fair to say?
Claudia Tornquist
executiveYes. We've certainly seen in our copper exploration, copper drilling, good gold byproduct values. Keep in mind, our original discovery hole had an intercept of 45 meters of not only 1.4% copper but also 1.4 grams of gold. But what's new really about the Beyer Zone is that it is a precious metals zone, which is reasonably common to see this in large porphyry systems such as MPD.
Unknown Attendee
attendeeOkay. Now we should mention that you are looking at to follow up on Beyer in 2023. That's just going to be a small part of what I mentioned is more a bigger program that you're doing next year because the company does have a lot of capital still within the treasury, correct?
Claudia Tornquist
executiveYes. That's a very important point. We still have $8 million and well financed for next year's work. And we have lots on the hopper. We have several copper porphyry targets that we are drilling, and we're using exactly the same approach that led to discovery success at our first discovery at the Gate Zone. We will now take the same approach at Dillard, Dillard West where we started drilling already this year. We'll be drilling more next year, and we have other porphyry targets such as Man, Axe and others. And this new gold discovery at the Beyer Zone, we'll certainly also follow up. And since it's in a big corridor with several other anomalies, there are certainly also other targets that we'll have a closer look at next year.
Unknown Attendee
attendeeAll right. It's going to be a busy one. It means you and I will be talking a lot, Claudia. Thank you so much. Great to see you again.
Claudia Tornquist
executiveThank you.
Unknown Attendee
attendeeAll right. There's Claudia Tornquist Torque, the CEO of Kodiak Copper Corp.
