Earnings Call Speaker Segments
Lily Gomez
attendeeGood morning, everyone, and thank you for joining our webinar. We're going to start in a couple of minutes here, just give people time to connect. We'll just wait another minute or so. Okay. Getting started here. And welcoming you all officially to today's webinar, closing the visibility gap with EXP.O NOW, and I will introduce you to today's speaker, who is Manuela Johnson. So Manuela has been with Expeditors for 9 years. She's currently Expeditors Technology Solutions expert for the Southeast region. In her role, she works closely with account management and sales to really identify customized solutions for our customers and their supply chain. We've added a QR code here that will take you to Manuela's LinkedIn. So I'll give you an easy way to connect to her. She's a great resource. And I think you'll really enjoy hearing from her today. We will, towards the end, have a Q&A moment where we'll answer all your questions. You should have a Q&A box that you see that you could enter your questions as we go along, and we'll address them towards the end. And with that, I will hand it off to Manuela.
Manuela Johnson
executivePerfect. Thank you so much for the introduction, Lily. I appreciate it. As you can see here, one of my favorite quotes that I thought really goes along with today's theme is work smarter, not harder. Such a simple yet powerful statement that really embodies today's theme of creating efficiencies through the use of supply chain visibility tools. So today, we are excited to talk about supply chain visibility with you and the associated challenges and risks. And we're also going to jump into our EXP.O NOW platform live as an example of just 1 tool that we can provide to you with that day-to-day visibility you're looking for. And in the tool itself, I will also go over some best practices on how you can make your life even more efficient on the work front. And then as Lily has already mentioned at the end, we did leave some time for Q&A. So as those questions come up, throughout this webinar, please feel free to drop them in that Q&A box, and we'll make sure to answer as many questions as we can at the end. All right. So without further ado, let's just go ahead and jump right into the subject matter of supply chain visibility. By definition, supply chain visibility gives the user the ability to track and trace the path and status of any parts, components or even finished products from its original source all the way to the end user. And on a daily basis, you really need to have visibility to all those activities within your supply chain so that you have the answers to really a multitude of different questions at any given time. You probably need to know where your orders are at all times. You need to understand how long it takes for a shipment to go from A to B or how long it even just takes to go through a certain way point like a port. And you probably also need to know where specific items or SKUs are or different components within the life cycle of specific shipments or are those things still located at origin or they may be in transit, or have they already reached the destination or already in warehouse, right? So in order to do your job effectively, you really need to have the answers to these type of questions at your fingertips. Now that we've defined supply chain visibility, let's actually review what goes into the process of creating it. That process really starts with capturing physical data and then transforming it into digital data. This digital data then has to be moved from a local source to a global and nowadays, of course, cloud system. And this transmission and upload process can be accomplished really through a very rudimentary ways like a manual entry or something on complete opposite and with the spectrum very automated, like EDI or API, EDI standing for electronic data integration or API standing for application program interface. Then lastly, all of you supply chain professionals, and even other stakeholders within your company, need some user interface to consume all that information, right? You need a tool to manage and analyze this data. So that could mean on one end that maybe you have a seamless integration of all the supply chain data into your own system, into your ERP, enterprise resource planning software that you're using like SAP, for example. Or if you're working with a forwarder, you could also be using the online visibility platform that, that forwarder provides to you. In our case, that visibility platform is called EXP.O NOW, and that's what we're going to dive into in just a few minutes. Now to really understand potential risks and challenges associated with the lack of end-to-end visibility. I think it's important to take a look at the overall objectives that we're trying to achieve here and what can happen if those objectives are not met. I think supply chain visibility should really be as close as real time as possible so that you, as a decision-maker, have all the necessary information to make adjustments to the plan as needed. The more data -- really, the more real-time data at your finger trips, the more you can optimize your decision-making. You might want to know why this is so important in the world of supply chain or you may not wonder because you live in this world, so you understand that plans are really -- are rarely fixed, right? There are just way too many variables. There's too many stakeholders involved in the process of moving freight. So exceptions just continue to happen, changes to the plan continue to happen. So looking here at objective number one. You need to have real-time information about the progress of your orders. And I'll give you an example why that is important. So let's say that a supplier, just to mention one example, finishes the production of an order 1 month before the plant production finish date. You now have this information. So now you can prepare downstream to make sure that you have sufficient warehouse space available 1 month earlier than originally planned or actually better yet, if you have that information available in real time before that supplier even ships that order, you can actually instruct the supplier to not ship that order at all until the agreed-upon ship date so that you don't have to carry that additional inventory holding costs for that extra month, okay? Looking at the second objective here, providing information to improve customer service. We all know delays happen and even, I think, ourselves, or I'll just speak for myself, myself as a consumer, I'm much more likely to be understanding if those delays are actually communicated to me proactively. So if you don't have real-time information about potential delays, you can't communicate those to your customers, which results in poor customer service and can potentially lead to losing customers and essentially revenues. But when you do have all that information at your fingertips in real time, you're really empowered to make better decisions. And in that case, you would meet that third objective, improving, planning and forcing decisions. I think a very popular example for the third objective is, for instance, switching modes. So if you know that your container is getting rolled at origin and the next sailing will now arrive after your customers need by date, you can redirect some of that freight to move on a faster transit, something like sea, air or maybe air only so that you're now still meeting that customers need-by-date, keeping the customer happy and realizing the revenue that was planned. So to summarize, really having visibility to all of these activities in your supply chain in real time helps you meet these objectives and essentially run the smooth supply chain. Before we dive into our operational platform, I do think it's important to point out that while the underlying data that we have discussed around supply chain visibility, they certainly used on that day-to-day operational level and answers those type of questions that we were just looking at. But it can also be used across a multitude of different time horizons as you see reflected here. So in addition to that operational level, all the way on the left-hand side can also support activities on a tactical as well as a strategic level. So again, while the underlying data across these time horizons is the same or at least similar, the data's aim is different, the tools that you would be using to look at that data and of course, also the questions those tools support and answer are all different, too. So I think -- I thought that was just important to keep in mind that there's different levels to this discussion. But again, for today's purposes, we're going to continue to focus on this operational level on the very left-hand side. Okay. So before we jump into the platform live, we do actually want to hear from you. So we've just launched a quick poll here answering the question of where is my shipment? How often are you asked or asking others to locate a shipment in transit? Is it maybe once a week, maybe twice a week or hopefully not too often to count? I just kind of wanted to get a feel of how important this topic is to you. I'm just going to give a few more seconds to give everyone a chance to answer. [Voting]
Manuela Johnson
executiveOkay. Some great participation. So as you can see, most of you actually answered too often to count. So it sounds like this topic is definitely near and dear to everyone's heart and certainly on your mind on a daily basis. So hopefully, some of the best practices that I'm about to show you in our EXP.O NOW tool will alleviate some of that pain that you're currently experiencing in terms of the topic of locating shipments and communicating that information to other stakeholders within your company and even to other companies -- I'm sorry, stakeholders outside of your organization. Okay. So without further ado, let's go ahead and dive into the platform live. Okay. So we're going to jump out of this presentation. And we're going to actually sign into our EXP.O NOW platform live. This is the log-in link that you would be using yourself as well. And if you ever forget to hyperlink this, I did want to show a good place to start as always expeditors.com because we do have a link to log into EXP.O right here on that homepage as while you would just click on that bar right here and that would take you to the same link here. All right. So I'm going to go ahead and log in under myself. If you don't already have a sign-in, you can also toggle to sign-up and just walk through that sign-up process yourself to create your own login. Okay. The nice part about our EXP.O NOW platform is that you are able to consume real-time supply chain visibility data here. So every -- all the information that you see in this platform is actually electronically received from our internal transportation management system in near real time, okay? So definitely meets that need of having all of your supply chain data at your fingertips again in near real time. So I'm going to jump into my demo organization right here. And when you log into your platform, your homepage should look very similar to this homepage right here. So you're going to have a couple of panels here on the left hand -- on the right hand side, shipments by status as well as shipments by location, which should really give you an overview of all of the shipments that you currently have and progress with the Expeditors. And if you're ever unsure what each of these buckets entails, you can always click on this little information icon. And then it shows you in detail, what shipments fall into each category. Okay. Now if you want to dive into, for instance, all of the shipments that are currently in transit, you can certainly click on any of these buckets. So let's just go ahead and click on shipments in transit. And you'll see it's going to pull up a list that feels very similar to an Excel spreadsheet. So as you can see here, by default, it provides you the origin and destination, the shipper and consignee and you can actually go ahead and scroll over to the right-hand side, and it's also going to give you the current status, the status date as well as some estimated arrival information at destination. But since it behaves very much like a spreadsheet, you can sort each column, and you can also filter this list. So let's just say that maybe we only want to see shipments that are going to Miami. You can certainly enter that filter. And now we filter the list down to only see shipments that are going to Miami, okay? So it's a very interactive view. And then from here, you can always dive into the details of our shipment. So any of these EXP.O reference numbers that are blue are actually hyperlinked. So from here, you could dive into the details of any particular shipment. I'm actually going to go back to my tracking homepage. And we're going to use this ad-hoc tracking panel right here on the left-hand side to track a shipment. So let me go ahead and copy and paste a demo shipment number in here, and then we're going to hit on the track button and bring up this air shipment. So now we're looking at the shipment detail view. So as you can see, it gives me the status at the very top. So this one has already delivered. It's completed. This was a shipment that was going from Hong Kong to Louisville and it's giving me the last milestone update on the shipment. So it looks like it was delivered on May 3. And then as you can see, you have quite a few tabs here along the bottom. Starting with the Details tab. This tab gives you some high-level macro information on the shipments. So again, it moved from Hong Kong to Louisville, is telling us the pieces' weight and volume with the shipper and consignees on the shipment as well as what airline it moved on. It's also giving us a high level of the actual time line of the shipments. So I can see it was initiated on April 17 and was delivered on May 3. Now again, this is just a high level. So if you wanted to dig into the details in terms of the milestones of the shipment, you could just click on the Events tab. Again, all of these lists, you can sort and filter. This one, in particular, is always default to show you just the core events. You could also choose to look at all events, which will actually bring up every single milestone that we lock against the shipment in our system, which would be quite a large list. But as you can see, we do see all the most important information right here. So again, having received the freight here on April 26, all the way to when it was booked and confirmed on board, some destination milestones. And then finally, that delivery to the consignee. So most of the time, core events, I would say, is sufficient. However, if you really need to dig into the details of the time line of the shipment, you can certainly filter to all events. All right. Now let's take a look at the References and Orders tab. So whenever you initiate a shipment with Expeditors, we're going to capture any references against that shipment that you ask us to and usually, we have that documented in our standard operating procedure as well. So for this particular shipment, I can see at the client's reference, here tick time was captured. I can see that we captured a commercial invoice number right here. And if I look at my Orders tab, I can see that we also have a purchase order logged against this particular shipment. And this is really where I think a best practice, again, comes into play, right? Because internally, most likely, you probably don't talk to your colleagues, other stakeholders outside of the logistics team in terms of house bills or Expeditor's reference number. You probably have your own lingo and a reference that means something to your organization internally or even your customers externally, right? And how do you communicate with your customers? Are you talking about orders, purchase orders, maybe a sales order, a project number, an item number and invoice number, right? Those are all references that we can capture for you. And as long as we have them associated with your shipment, you don't need the Expeditors house bill to find that shipment. You can just search by that particular reference number. And you can do that with a log-in to EXP.O NOW or you could even send other stakeholders internally as well as your customers externally to just use the guest search on the Expeditors homepage. And if they then enter the order number, for example, here, it will also bring up the shipment tracking information, of course, with any proprietary information removed. So why don't we just go through that exercise? So here, we have a purchase order number, demo 7, page 8. So I'm going to go back to my tracking homepage. And let's just go ahead and type that in and see what happens. Okay. So as you can see, I used the purchase order number and to track and then brought up the exact same shipment, okay? So that's definitely a best practice that we urge our customers to use. Now let's take a look at these additional tabs here. You do have a Container tab as well as a Security Filings tab. These are going to be empty for this shipment because it's an air shipment. So you're not going to have any container information and there's no important security filing on air shipments. So this tab is also going to be empty. However, the Declarations tab does show entry information. So for this particular air shipment, Expeditors also worked the customs entry, so submitted to entry to customs. As you can see under the Declarations tab, you see that entry information at a high level. So this was a consumption entry. It looks like it was declared on May 2. But you can, again, for any blue hyperlink numbers, just click on it and then actually dive into the details of that customs entry. Very similar view. We have some tabs here across the top. The summary view gives you some macro level information on this particular entry in terms of when it was declared, when it was released. It's letting us know the total declared value on any duties that were due to customs as well as the country of origin, country of export and then some arrival information here. Without even looking at the documents of the actual entry summary, you can actually call up all that information right here electronically on the Declaration Details tab. So it looks like this entry only had one line. You can even expand that to really dig into the details of, again, what tariff number was declared? What was the declared value? Looks like we even captured the commercial invoice number, the item number, the PO number, the quantity and any duties and fees that were due to customs on this one, okay? So I think this platform is fantastic to look at things from different levels. So now we've dived into the shipment detail information. We've looked at things from a customs entry perspective. I do want to quickly jump back to this particular shipment because we do have one more tab that I wanted to show you, the Documents tab. This one is super popular. And just like all of the milestone information, et cetera, flows electronically to this platform from our internal transportation management system, so do the documents. So this platform is also electronically connected to our internal document management system. So any documents that are associated with your shipments, your entries, your orders, et cetera, are also going to be reflected here. Now this is a demo shipment, so we only have 1 document loaded, but in reality, you would see a multitude of documents here, right? Your commercial invoice, your packing list, if we're performing your entry, the 7501 entry summary, your house bill and the list goes on. The nice part about this is it's almost like a document retention space for you. So all the documents are stored here against your shipments and entries, and you can access them at any time by just clicking on them. If you have more than 1 document there, you can, of course, click multiple at the same time and enter them, access them all. And then from there, you can, of course, save them to your desktop and send them on or do whatever with it that you need. Now many of you said that you get asked very often about the status of your shipments. So before we jump out of the shipment detailed view, I definitely want to point out one more best practice, and that's the Subscribe button right here. So you do have the option to subscribe to a shipment. So if you don't want to log-in and track a shipment, ad-hoc one by one, you do also have the option to subscribe to it, which will then send you an e-mail notification as any of these selected milestones occur within that shipments' life cycle. So as you can see here by default, it selected confirmed on board and delivered for me. Maybe I would also want to know once it's customs released. Now this shipment is already delivered so I'm not actually going to receive any of these notifications. But if you're working with a shipment that maybe is still at origin or in transit, as soon as that shipment is released, you would receive an e-mail notification. I think you know that. And the nice part is that, again, by default, I put myself here in the recipient box, but you can add any other stakeholders that you like. So if you have a particular colleague that's very invested in the shipment and keeps asking you about it, just add them to this recipient list right here and same for your customers. If your customer keeps reaching out to you to get an update on the shipment, simply add them to this Subscribe list, and then they will get automatic e-mail notifications letting them know what the current status is, okay? So I'm just going to go ahead and hit Subscribe, so you can see what that looks like. So if I go back to my tracking homepage, I now see the shipment under my subscriptions panel. And then from here, I could dig into the details of that shipment again and really manage all of my hot shipments. So if I ever wanted to turn off those notifications, I just click on this bell icon and now those notifications are turned off. Very simple. Okay. Now I do want to not spend too much time on it, but at least want to introduce you to the option that instead of just looking at things from a shipment perspective, maybe looking at things from a customer's entry perspective. If we have your purchase order information upstream, we can also load that information into our system and then you would be able to look at things from an order as well as item perspective. So as you can see here, that's an option here in my track dropdown list. So let's just go ahead and throw a demo order in here. I'm going to track that. And as you can see, now I'm looking at things from an order perspective. So this particular demo order looks like it has 4 lines on it. Some plant stands, a console table, just a regular console and accent tables. And for each line, I can quickly see whether it's already shipped in full. So line 1 was already shipped in full. Looks like Line 2 and 3 are still open. And then accent tables, we've shipped 3 of those so far. So this one is partially complete. It's also giving us the information that you would have communicated to us on that purchase order in terms of that ship window and the requested delivery date. And then again, very familiar view, we have some different tabs here. So you could click on the Shipments tab, for example, and look at all of the shipments that are associated with this order. So in this case, it looks like we just have 1 ocean shipment associated with this particular order. And then again, all these views are linked together. So from here, you could click on this hyperlinked number and take into the shipment details. If it's an ocean shipment, you would also be able to look at the container information and so on and so forth. So here, you're looking at things from an order perspective, we could also dig into the details from an item perspective, right? So if I dig into the details of this particular item, plant stands, you can see, again, all of the orders that are associated with this item, you can see all of the shipments that are associated with this item. And again, keep in mind, this is interactive, right? So maybe we want to sort this by the last event to kind of see if we can expect to receive any plant stands at our warehouse anytime soon. It looks like 2 shipments are locked here. So those are still at origin. It will probably take some time to get here, but it does look like we have 3 that are currently sitting at the destination part that are about to be delivered. Okay. So again, just wanted to demonstrate the different levels of information that you can dig into within this platform. So looking at things, not just from a shipment perspective, but also pulling up customs entry information, pulling up order information, item information, containers. So all of the information is available to you here at your fingertips, okay? So I would say this tracking homepage is great to look up shipments. Ad-hoc to dig into maybe hot shipment, shipments where you really need to know what is going on. But hopefully, that's an exception. Ultimately, our goal is to manage our supply chain by exception, right? So hopefully, you won't have to do that all that often. And that leads me to another best practice, which is this Reporting tab right over here. Because at the end of the day, you're not going to have time to track each and every one of your shipments one by one, every single day. So we want to set you up for success and with tools to, again, make that process much more efficient. So that you're really only digging into the shipment details of those hot exception shipments. So under the Report tab, you have some standard reports available to you that are right there out of the box. And those are self-service reports that you can use on a daily basis. So I'm going to pull up 1 report here as an example. We've been talking about shipments. So I'm going to pull up this transportation report right here. And when you click on any of these buckets, it gives you a brief description of what that report is going to pull for you. In this case, it's going to give us some basic information and it's going to give us any shipments that have been in progress over the last 120 days. So I'm going to go ahead and click on design. And you'll notice, each of these reports, although it's going to show you different information, really the mechanics of pulling those reports is the same across all the different information. Now I'm logged into my Expeditors account, so I actually have to pick an organization. You won't have to do that because the system is going to recognize the company that you're associated with. So I'm going to pick a demo account here. And let's just stick with the Miami themes. As you can see here, I do have to use at least 1 filter. So I'm going to just pull up any shipments that are destined to Miami. Okay. I'm not even going to use any additional filters. I want to go ahead and click run now and see what I get back. All right. So I get a list of 65 shipments. And as you can see, by default, it's showing me the origin, the destination. Destination only shows Miami. So that's the filter that I entered. It's giving me the Expeditors reference number, the current status as well as the customers' primary reference number, which looks like we're capturing pills for this particular demo customer. Now the nice thing about this report is that they're completely customizable. So you can play with this as much as you like. This is just what it returns by default, but I can actually jump back into my design report function right here. And then I can jump to my columns. And then from here in this Add Column drop-down blocks, I have all of these additional data points that I can add to my report. And if you're unsure of what any of these data points mean, you can always hover over the information icon and then we'll give you some more information. Now let's just say that I want to also see the shipper, so I can also search for that right here. So I'm going to go ahead and add the shipper. I'm going to go ahead and add the consignee. I know I had status information, but I actually want to see a date, so I'm going to add the status date as well. Okay. I'm pretty happy with this, but I don't necessarily like the order. So that's something you can change too. So I want to see my shipper right underneath my origin, so you can drag and drop that column. I want to see my consignee right below my destination. So I'm dragging and dropping that as well. The primary reference really is probably going to be most important to you is I'm going to drag that all the way to the top which leaves my status and status date at the bottom. I'm happy with that. Now Expeditors reference number that may not mean much to my internal stakeholders. So nice part is you can also change the name of these columns by clicking on these 3 little dots here. So let's just go ahead and change the name of this column right here. Maybe we'll just name this House Bill. And since I just made a change to the column, I have to make sure that it actually saves that. So I'm going to click on Save Report. And now I can save this under the Customize Report options. So I'm going to call this shipments to Miami. You do have the option to enter a more elaborate description, if you like, but I'm going to leave it at that, going to hit Save. And now you can see that was successfully saved. Okay. Happy with this, let's just go ahead and run us again so I can see what it looks like. And as you can see now, we can actually look at all the changes that I just made. I have my primary reference all the way on the left-hand side. I've added my shipper and consignee. The Expeditors reference number is now called House Bill, and I do have my status date here also. Great. If you're happy with that at this point, you can download this information into an Excel spreadsheet or a CSV file. And from there, you can, of course, share it, e-mail it or whatever you might want to do. Now again, another best practice, right, working smarter and not necessarily harder. If you know that every Monday morning, you're going to go in and you need to kind of review all of the shipments for this particular destination, you can also schedule this search to run automatically. So if I go back into my design report function right here and click on my Schedule tab, I can turn on a schedule to run. We clearly, for example, just wanted this to run on Mondays. I wanted in my Inbox first thing in the morning, so at 8 a.m., and I would want us to start running next week on Monday. We're going to leave that report for about a year. And again, here is where you can add as many different stakeholders as you like internally and within your team, outside of your team, that's within your organization or even externally. So again, it's a fantastic tool to automate this process and hopefully make your life more efficient, okay? So we've made some changes here. We turned on the schedule. So we want to make sure that we actually save that information. That is now saved, fantastic. So now I want to show you that if I go back to my reporting homepage, I still have all my standard out-of-the-box reports here, but then under my customer's reports and now I have this report that we just created. So I can go ahead and run this ad-hoc whenever I like because if I click back into it, I can see all this information is saved. All of my columns are saved as well as my schedule. Okay. Now you might be wondering where that report is actually going to be sent to so every Monday morning when that report runs, it's actually going to populate in your report results, depot over here on the right-hand side, and you can manage the notifications within the depot itself. So when that report is done running, you can, for instance, choose to receive no e-mail notification of that, which I have mine turned off because I get way too many reports to receive an e-mail notification every single one. But you could choose to either turn it to on with e-mail notification, then it just lets you know, hey, there is a new report in your report depot and you'll have to log into EXP.O NOW or you can also go to on e-mail with attachment, in which case, that report is going to be attached to that e-mail notification that you're receiving in your Inbox. So in that case, you could just work and open that report right from your e-mail inbox and you don't even have to log-in to EXP.O NOW. So it's really up to you and your personal preference there. But regardless of what notification you choose, that report is going to stay in this report depot. So if you, for instance, choose to receive it via e-mail attachment and accidentally delete that e-mail, you can always go back to your report depot right here and pull out that report at a later time. Okay. I do want to show you just 1 more report just as an example, so why don't we run a customs brokerage report? So again, you can click on that and that pulls up the information here on the right-hand side in terms of what data is actually going to return. So as you can see here, the declaration line extract is from the perspective of the harmonized tariff level. So each line on the report is going to equal 1 customs import declaration tariff line, okay? So again, we're going to click on design, and that's going to pull up a very similar report view that you now already are used to. I have the filters, my columns as well as my schedule. Now we do have some different required information that you have to enter here. Let's say that we're located in the U.S., so we want to receive an entry report for entries into the United States. So I'm going to enter that as my country. Again, you will not have to enter an organization here, but since some logged in under my account, I just have to quickly choose a demo organization. You will have to choose an importer of record. A lot of our customers actually have multiple different importers of record, in which case, it would have a list of all of those different tax IDs right here. This particular demo client only has one, so that's what I'm going to select. And then we do also want to narrow down our search from a date perspective. So I'm just going to run a very limited searcher maybe for the last 7 days. And this is from an entry date perspective. But you could also change that. You can see there is some optional filters here towards the bottom, but I'm going to not narrow down my search any further. I'm just going to hit run now. And now it's going to return a list of all of the entries with an entry date within the last 7 days. It looks like 18 entries meet that criteria, okay? So as you can see, it's pulling up tons and tons of information, your declaration number, the vessel that had moved into, port of leading, some date information here around the entry date and actual release date, country of origin. It's also giving you information on the tariff that was declared as well as the value and any duties and taxes that were due, et cetera. So as you can see, tons of different information, all available right here at your fingertips that you can play with. Okay. All right. So I would say, again, from a best practice perspective, really making sure that you're set up with the right reports on a daily, weekly and on monthly basis is so important to make your life more efficient. So I really encourage you to go on here and see what you have available on the self-serve basis. And if you do find these reports do not meet your needs, you can, of course, always reach out to your representative and we can see what additional resources we can pull together for you from an internal perspective since we do, of course, have access to additional reporting tools internally. Okay. Now this platform is great. I will say it is interactive in the sense that if you were to pull up our access this platform on your -- maybe your iPad, some sort of tablet or your phone, it will actually adjust to your screen size. But in addition to that, I did also want to point out that we do also have an app available, okay? And this app is available free to download at your leisure. I'm not sure if you can see this on my phone, but it's great for just to use on the go. You can actually favorite and save a particular tracking number in here and pull it up at any time. And I personally like some of these other tools in here as well. It features all of the Expeditors locations and then it has some other tools that you can use to look up container sizes, for example, and things like that. So it's definitely quite useful. Okay. I think that brings you -- brings us to the end of our content for today. And as promised, we did leave some time for Q&A.
Lily Gomez
attendeeThank you, Manuela. That was great. Great information. Yes. So we have a Q&A box that you should see on your screen. And please take a moment to ask any questions. That was a lot of information, a lot of really good content. And just let us know what information you need a little bit more support on by typing into the Q&A box. And while you do that, I also wanted to share with you a couple of QR codes. The one to the left is basically a link to our subscription page so that you pretty much stay in the know of what's going on at Expeditors and what's going on in the market, and you would receive really important just global information. So I highly recommend subscribing there. And then the QR code on the right is more Southeast region-centric, which would allow you to have information on upcoming events, webinars like this one in-person, seminars or tours, different activities that we organize within the region. So I encourage you to take a little bit closer look at those. I also wanted to mention that you will be receiving a Survey Monkey to give us your feedback on this webinar as well as just general feedback ideas that you may have or other topics that you'd like to hear about. We're always open to design webinars and seminars around what you might need. And once you complete that survey -- those that complete the survey will get a copy of the slide deck sent back to them. So -- also, if you have any last-minute thoughts or things you want to communicate with Manuela, there's another slide or a way to get in touch with her directly via e-mail, that will just link you up to an e-mail to directly contact her, any questions or additional topics you may want to cover with her from a technology standpoint. So I'm not sure if we have any questions there, Raven, that you want to cover. Okay.
Manuela Johnson
executiveSorry, I do see one question in the Q&A box. Someone was asking the time line of the information that's available in the platform. So that's a question that we definitely get a lot from the field. So you're not alone. So generally speaking, from a shipment perspective, you're going to see 120 days' worth of shipment data in the platform. In terms of customs entry information, you will actually be able to access all of your entries for about 5 years. So that, from a U.S. perspective, meets that compliance threshold there. And so you wouldn't be able to necessarily look at shipment information that is associated with that entry. However, you are able to just pull up the entry-wise, the declaration number and pull out the entry information as well as the associated documents with that. So that was a great question. Let me see if we have any others that we haven't been able to answer. Okay. Yes, just one more question around access. If you are signing up yourself to the EXP.O NOW platform and you don't see your shipment information in those panels, the status panel or the panel by location, you probably have a little icon on the top right which says Guest. So that just means that your log-in is now associated with your company, and that's something that we can very easily fix for you. So if that is a problem that you're running into, just feel free to either reach out to myself directly via e-mail. You do have that information pulled up here on the screen or you can also, of course, just reach out to your Expeditors representative.
Lily Gomez
attendeeOkay. Well, if there aren't any other questions, then again, we thank you for joining. We look forward to having you participate in future events. And I wish you a great day.
Manuela Johnson
executiveYes. Thank you so much for joining. Have a great day.
