Thank you. Thank you for the introduction, Shreyas. And everybody, welcome to today's webinar on Getting Started with Salesforce Starter. My name is Kiran Pradeep. I'm part of the solution engineering team here at Salesforce India. And today with me, I have my colleague, Sparsh Sharma, who will be fielding your questions about Starter and a lot more. So all of you ready? Let's get started. Before we begin, a quick forward-looking statement. Salesforce is a publicly listed company. Whenever you're making any software purchases, always make that based on what is currently available in the market and not based on what is on the road map. So let's move on. A quick round of gratitude for making time to join us today. So this is an age-old Salesforce tradition where we believe that you could have spent your time today anywhere else, but you chose to spend it with Salesforce to understand more about Salesforce Starter, and we are deeply grateful for that. I'll ensure that your time with us, this one now, will be fruitful. You will get to know a lot about Salesforce Starter and coming on to the Salesforce ecosystem. Okay. So let's take a quick look at today's agenda, right? So what we have here is an introduction to Salesforce Starter, the latest from Salesforce, right? So this is our entry into the ecosystem to know our products, which brings together sales, service and marketing. And we will quickly go through what is in the package, what does it provide you and also a demonstration of the live product itself. We will get to know how to get started with your 30-day trials and what are the steps you will need to follow. And finally, we will open up for Q&A. Okay. So the big question, what is Starter, right? So when we hear the word starter, the whole meaning is in the word itself. Product managers today are very keen to keep things simple. So Starter simply is the first product that you can purchase to come onto the Salesforce platform, and it provides everything that Salesforce offers in a very simplistic way. That means it brings together your sales, service and marketing teams on one single platform. So who is Starter intended for, right? So most of you are entrepreneurs. You have started your own companies and are looking for a system to better engage with your customers, build relationships with the customers, right? So Starter is the right product for you to begin your CRM journey, and this is intended for all of you. And what does it help you do? Like I said earlier, it helps you bring together all of your teams in one place. You don't have to worry about managing multiple applications, loss of data because of that, some conversations happening in messaging channels that you have no visibility about. All these problems are going to go away when you come on to the Salesforce Starter platform. So what does it contain? So it helps you find more leads with it marketing outreach activities. You will be able to win more leads by engaging with them, send mailers and see whether what kind of mailers are getting opened, what is more engaging, et cetera, right? And with this engagement, you will also be able to run your sales process on Salesforce and help you win more deals, right? So you can do lead conversions, opportunity management, create new accounts and contracts and whatnot. So winning the customer is just the beginning of your relationship with them, okay? Starter also helps you keep those customers happy. Like it provides you with basic case management. You can troubleshoot their issues, listen to any of the complaints they may have and ensure that your customers are happy. So that summarizes what comes in the package for you, right? The best of marketing, sales and service, all clubbed into one. And Starter is just the first step towards your journey in Salesforce, right? As you know, Salesforce is the #1 CRM in the world. And it brings together AI capabilities, data capabilities and CRM capabilities all in one platform. So now let's take a deep dive into each of these 3 areas that we just spoke about and see what is in it. Coming to the first part, that is, the marketing, finding more customers. All of you will be working with data sets, leads that you're getting from multiple sources, et cetera. But how to engage them better, right? So Starter will enable you with creating the right kind of email templates, sending mass emailers, seeing whether what kind of email templates are working and starting a conversation with those customers. And once you have started those conversations, they become leads and opportunities in your system, right? You will be able to track which opportunities are progressing, which companies you are doing business with, who are you contacting in those companies. And the sales path that you follow with each of these customers are configurable. So once you have all this in place and you win that deal, right, you convert that opportunity, you get revenue, that is when you invest in recurring revenue, ensuring the customers are happy and they keep coming back to you. So that is why Starter also offers you case management, right? And cases can come in via emails or via your web forms. People can contact you. And your agents who are supporting these customers are also powered by the Salesforce knowledge base, which contains all the articles about how best to use your product or how best to troubleshoot your product. So I hope now all of you have a quick idea about what Starter contains. It is a very simple way to bring together your sales, marketing and service teams together. So what is the icing on the cake is all of these features are available from day 1 on mobile as well. As entrepreneurs, most of you will be spending a lot of time on the road, and you might want to quickly check, hey, how is my sales doing? Is there a real-time dashboard that can give you that information? Oh, yes. And Salesforce also syncs with your email and calendar, so the mobile app will keep track of what are meetings you have today, what are your tasks from the previous week and so on, right? So now, you have an idea that you're getting a CRM that is preconfigured with the right kind of processes for your teams, and also it is mobile. I think it is time to see all of this in action. So let us move on to the demonstration, right? So -- but before the demo, some of you may have this question, "Kiran, all of that is well and good. Okay. But why Starter? Why would you go with Starter?" So let us answer those questions for all of you. So the first thing is it is the right start for your CRM journey. So we talk to many customers, and we hear this all the time, right? "We were thinking of coming to Salesforce in the early days, but we couldn't because Salesforce Enterprise edition was out of reach for us." We heard you. We heard the Indian entrepreneurs, and we decided to come up with a package that is easy to use even for start-ups in their very early age or businesses that do not have a lot of [ take ] bandwidth or time to invest in creating a CRM. And that is my second point, right? A lot of you might be in product companies. You have tech teams that are working hard to make sure your customer-facing app is the best out there, right? So you cannot pull those engineers and put them in implementing an internal CRM for you. So that is where Starter comes in with preconfigured processes that helps you deploy very fast across all the 3 teams that are engaging with customers, right? And all of these things come with analytics baked in so that you have a visibility into what each of your teams are doing and you can make business decisions based on the insights these reports and dashboards are giving you, okay? So where do you get started? "Okay. Kiran, that is well and good. But how do I get started, right?" So let me give you a live demonstration of how you can get started with the Starter platform. Okay. So post the session, we will definitely share you links to the Starter landing page. And you will see that, okay, it takes you to the Salesforce product page where you need to enter very simple information to start your 30-day trial, right? And it asks a few questions to set up the system for you. Like what is your intention of coming to this platform like Salesforce Starter? A quick check here. Okay. So you say that, okay, I want to win more deals. My focus is on improving my sales. Okay. You check that, and you click next. And then it is asking you, what is preventing you from managing your sales in a good way today, right? You say that, okay, deals are hard to manage. All my sales reps are talking to multiple people, but I have no idea what -- where my deals are or in what stage they are. So I click submit, and then you see a quick welcome video on how you can use Starter, right? So I'm not going through this now. When you actually go through your trial process, you can listen to this video so that it will get started. So then I click on Take me to Salesforce, and you land on your very own Salesforce instance, right? So you see that the idea of Starter is that you should be able to configure it yourself, right? So all the available information that you need to get started, either with sales or service, is available in the first page itself, right, that are bringing in your contacts, bringing in your leads, opportunities and whatnot. And what we also have is a guided setup that will walk you through how to start selling with Salesforce, right? So you can definitely go through each of these steps, add your accounts and leads, et cetera. But let me go to the very first point: bring your leads. Most of you might be working with Google Sheets or any other systems. How do I bring my leads onto Salesforce for the first time? So I go to leads here, and I click on this import button. And it is asking me, do you want to import from a file? And I have kept my leads ready in a CSV file, and let me just import that to you. Okay. Next. And based on whatever columns you may have in your Google Sheet, it is automatically relating them to the fields that we have in Salesforce. And let's say you have a field called form that is not really there in Salesforce. But you can say that, okay, what I mean by form is a company, and it is already related, right? Now I'll start the import, and these leads will also come into my system. So that is how you can import all the leads, and they will come up like this, right? So now let us see what other features are there with our lead management. So let me open a lead that I have received that is of Asha Kapoor, okay? So Asha Kapoor's lead goes through various stages. You can define these stages, and you can say that, okay, what is to be done in each of these stages? Now what if you say, "Kiran, I have some additional stages that I need to add." And that is quick and easy in Salesforce Starter, right? So all I need to do is click on this gear icon, and I go to sales stages. And it tells me, okay, this is where you can add your stages. So right now, Asha is in the lead stage, and I want to add a stage called working, right? And I can move the stage in the system. Wherever I want to keep it, I can keep it there, and I can save this. So now when you refresh the page, a new stage has come out to your sales bar, right? And you can start using that stage to make sure that you are noting customers who are in the working stage as well. So all this is possible, and you can always send out emails from here. You can always create events from here. So all the communication you are having with the customers are having from this single workspace, right? So now let us say that, okay, everything is done. You want to convert this lead. Asha is really interested in your product. So what we will do is we'll go ahead and create -- convert them into an opportunity, right? So you see that when you're converting, Asha's company is created as an account in your system automatically, and this opportunity is created for you, okay? So let's just click convert, and the system is telling you where to move next, right? This is as easy as downloading an app on Android and finding out where you should go. So it is saying, okay, you have converted the lead. Now you move on to opportunities. So when you move on to opportunities, you know that Asha has asked you to meet you in their office next week. So I will add that as a quick task for me so that when I open my system on Monday, I know that I will have to meet them. So I will create that, and the subject could be meeting. And who am I meeting? I'm meeting Asha Kapoor, who belongs to Singh & Singh Ltd, right? So like this, you will be able to go forward with your deal and manage all the different meetings that are happening in Salesforce itself, right? So let us say you went for this meeting, then you have sent your proposals. And finally, you close this particular stage. So this way, you can keep track of all the closed won opportunities, or if you lose an opportunity, you can also keep track of that in Salesforce. What all this enables us to do this as managers, you're getting the right kind of dashboards and opportunities to know where your business is, right? So if you look at here, then you have your leads that are coming in, how many are in new stage, how many are in contacted stage, et cetera. Out of all my opportunities, how many have I won? All those details are available right in front of. Now let us quickly move on to the -- one of our accounts and see how we can manage that from the customer support side as well. So let us say -- I go to accounts. I open one of my accounts, that is, Lodhi Group. And what I'm going to do is Lodhi Group called me with a complaint. So how do I quickly create a case for them, right? So the cases are right here, and I can give all these stages -- okay, they called in with a complaint, right? So I'll choose the case origin as phone, and the complaint is regarding some order delivery they were expecting from us, and you can add the descriptions here. And if you want to send some notifications to Lodhi Group saying that, "Okay. This particular complaint has been received by us," you can do that. If you want to meet anybody in that particular company, that is, Mr. Taran who called you, you can select their details as well and click save. So now you will see that a particular case is created for you. And just like how we manage the sales side, on the support side as well, you have various stages. You can escalate your case. You can send emails from here and also log a call whenever the customer calls in, right? So like this, all these functionalities are available for you right in the same package. So last but not the least, while you are working on all of these things, you can also check for knowledge articles whenever you have them, right? So what do I mean by knowledge articles? These are articles that help your sales team or support team check what are the company policies on certain things. Let us say, if the order is delayed, is the customer eligible for a refund? Such articles can be created and stored here so that we can search for them. So now we saw how a lead that came in got converted to an opportunity. We saw the account page, and we also saw aftersales how we can support them, right? But at any given point in time, what Salesforce also allows you to do is communicate on a larger scale with all your customers. For example, all these new leads that came in, right, I want to send them a first touch email. So that is where our system will help you do that by saying that, okay, for all of them, I want to send this email and I already created an email for you. So you can very easily create email templates and store them in Salesforce, right? So I have this email called first touch. I can just insert it and then preview and send it out to all the customers, right? So I can send this out now. The email has gone to them. When you open their contacts, that will come in their activity time line. Now you'll be like, "Kiran, okay, how do I further explore this," right? So that is where our guidance center comes into play. For example, now a new company has contacted you for something, right? So what you have to do is I want to add a contract for that particular company. What I can do is I can click on add a contact, and the system will guide me to the contacts page and tell me that I need to click on the new button. And this is how I add a contact and save it, right? So Salesforce, with its prompts, is telling you what is happening at each instant. So like there's various things that you want to do. Let's go back to the guidance center and see that I want to add a new opportunity. Just click that. It will take you to the opportunities and guide you through how to go about it, right? So like this, whatever you want to do, however you want to explore Salesforce, without anybody's help, you can do on its own, right? And this way, without depending on your tech team or anything, you as business leaders can get set up your CRM. Last but not the least, what we can also explore is all of this is available to you in mobile, right? So let us quickly see how that comes up. So on your Android or iOS phone, you can definitely go to App Store and search for the Salesforce application, right? So let me quickly do that. Let me open my App Store, and I will search for the Salesforce mobile app. And it's here. So I have already downloaded it for you. So let me just open and show what it is. What this helps you do is as business leaders, you will always be on the move, right? So the mobile app will help you keep track of any of the leads contacts that you're meeting, the progress of your opportunities and also tell you how your sales team is performing. So let's see all of this in action. So I have my Salesforce mobile app here. Let me open that. And in the first tab it is telling me, "Kiran, you have so many meetings today," right? These are some of the meetings that I have set up for me. And I can see that, okay, at 1 p.m., I have a lunch meeting with one of the customers. After that, at 4:30, I am meeting with some other customers. So all of those details is already there in my system, right? I can quickly go to my dashboard and see how my sales team is performing as well. So the sales funnel is here. My growth is here. And I also know which are the biggest opportunities that my team is tracking here, right? So all that is fine. But let us say, I am meeting somebody new, and I have already gotten their contacts. So in this case, I will say that, okay, I am meeting Sparsh for the first time. He just gave me his contacts. How do I bring that into Salesforce? So that is the beauty of it. You can just click on import from device, and he already sent me his number. So his number is in my contacts. I click on Sparsh Sharma, and this thing is autofill, right? And I can also say Sparsh belongs to which company, all those details I can add and I can save this contact. So like this, without opening your laptop, without opening your system, you are able to manage your business on the go, right? And if I go to opportunities, like we said, the recent opportunity that we started, it was close won, right? We can also see what are the activities my team did, what are the details they captured. All of this is available in my Salesforce mobile app. And this requires no configuration, right? You get your Salesforce license, and the app is already ready for you and your team. So now, you as a business leader came into Salesforce and explored all of this, right? And you're like, "Okay. Salesforce is the right fit for me. Now what do I do? I will go ahead and invite my team members to Salesforce," right? So all you need to do is go do the guidance center, get started and there is this option called invite users. So it will take you to this form. So if you know the email IDs of your team members, you can definitely add all that up. So I'm just sending this to myself as part of the demo. And you can say that they are a standard user. You are already administrator, and you can send an invitation. Now I will get that invitation, and I will definitely use that to join Salesforce. Speaking of what other things we can do is syncing your contacts. So I will show this option. When you go to import contacts, you have this option to sync with Google or Microsoft. So I believe most of you will be using either an Outlook calendar or a Google calendar, right? So we have Einstein Activity Capture, which is a big word, but it is nothing much. It syncs your existing calendars with Salesforce. So I know when I open my mobile app, I saw all my events in my mobile app itself, right? How is that possible? That is because I have linked it to my Google calendar. So whatever events come on my Google calendar are available for me in my mobile app and my calendar as well. So similarly, you can do the same thing with Outlook. And this is not just restricted to contacts, right? Like this syncing will help you track your emails that are going in and out of your inbox to see whether people actually open those emails and even send your availability. All these functionalities are bundled with Salesforce. I hope I was able to give you a quick overview of what is possible. So now let us move back on to the presentation and see what are the next steps that you have to do, okay? So let me quickly come back here. Okay. So I walked you through the process of how I signed up for a Salesforce trial, right? So now is the time that you also can start doing that, and we will look at any of the questions that are coming on the webinar to see, okay, like do you have any questions about setting up Salesforce Starter, questions about the features. We will be taking all that. But first, you have the QR code on the screen. So scan the QR code and start your 30-day free trial so that you can take Salesforce Starter out for a spin by yourself, right? So once the trial is over, we have our account executive [ PM here ]. Shreyas has joined us. So if you have any questions about purchasing Starter, we will be happy to take that. Okay. Let us open for questions. Sparsh, were there any questions from the audience?

Sure. Thanks, Kiran. I think that was a really great session that we just saw. So I think there are few interesting questions that are coming up that I think I would like to bring to everyone's notice. So I think there's a question which has been asked by [ Priyanka ]. Can we use this on Android? So I think that's a good question. So [ Priyanka ], yes, we can use this application on Android as well as iOS. There is one more question by [ Ankur ]. Can we integrate to LinkedIn and other social media platforms? So I think a very good question, [ Ankur ]. Just to let you know, this is an entry-level product which gives you all the capabilities of sales, service and marketing. Now when we are giving this, again, it comes with certain caveats. So there are no APIs that will be available in Starter. So no, you won't be able to integrate to LinkedIn and social media platforms. But again, just to let you know, this is a platform which is basically used for organization just to kick-start their journey in the CRM journey. So if you're looking for LinkedIn or social media platforms, I would request you can go to our bread and butter licenses, which is Sales Cloud or service offerings that we have.

Kiran Pradeep

Definitely. And also, one more thing to add there, Sparsh. So the whole idea of Starter is that companies can get started on the Salesforce platform. As and when you need advanced features, you can always upgrade your [ org ] to Enterprise edition or Unlimited edition, which comes with these features.

Sparsh Sharma

I think there is one more question which comes up. So [ Abhijit ] is asking, do we have the feature to create profiles? Yes, [ Abhijit ], we do have the features to create profiles in Salesforce Starter. So there is one more question. Can we send in bulk emails? So yes, that is also possible, team. We can send bulk emails using this platform.

Kiran Pradeep

executive
#6

Yes. So you saw the email templates that can be created and the list email functionality. So in a given day, up to 5,000 list emails can go out of Salesforce Starter platform for you.

Sparsh Sharma

#7

So I think there are a lot of questions which are flooding in now. So again, there's a question, do we need to purchase separate licenses for mobile and desktop? No, team. There is only one license, which is Salesforce Starter, which gives you capabilities of both the desktop as well as the mobile version, which Kiran showcased to you. Can it be integrated with SAP for customized reports? So as of now, integration is -- won't be provided because it doesn't have APIs. If you want any kind of data related to leads, opportunities, that needs to be manually updated in the system.

Kiran Pradeep

executive
#8

I think there is a question like can we send a proposal through this platform, from [ Savithri ]. So [ Savithri ], as long as this proposal is an email template, right, you can definitely have that opportunity and send it out. But if you're looking at quoting functionalities, you may need to upgrade to our Professional or Enterprise editions.

Sparsh Sharma

executive
#9

I think there is one more question from [ Elish ]. Data import possible from CSV only, or Excel will also do? So both the ways are possible. You can either upload it from a -- so again, not both the ways. So you have to convert it into a CSV file before you update it, or else the second method would be -- going with technical here. I'm not sure whether you are familiar with dataloader.io. We can schedule request in terms of pushing and pulling out data from Salesforce Starter. So yes, you will need to have a CSV format.

Kiran Pradeep

executive
#10

Very good question. Any restriction on number of users? So we are glad to tell you that there is no restriction on the number of users. And this is a departure from our earlier editions like Essentials, right, which restricted you to add only 10 users. But when it comes to Starter now, you can add as many users as you want.

Sparsh Sharma

#11

There is one more question from [ Costa ], which says that is it all features in Salesforce protected with cloud-based format? So just to let you know again, this is also our -- one of our SaaS products itself. So even Starter is a SaaS-based application, the module that you're seeing. So even, yes, that will be protected by all the security functionalities which are there because the [ LINE ] platform remains our Salesforce platform. So don't think that it's a separate platform or just an entry-level product, so again, it won't have all the securities and capabilities. Definitely, it will have all the securities, the compliance, which comes with other licenses as well.

Kiran Pradeep

#12

Yes. So I see a question being repeated, Sparsh. I think I will take that. Actually, 2 questions. Does it have any AI features? And I saw this question, will we be able to know how many times the prospect opened the proposal e-mail, okay? So first question, yes, it does have AI feature. So you know that in Salesforce, all the AI features are branded under the Einstein brand, right? So one of the Einstein features called Einstein activity inside is bundled with the Salesforce Starter package. What it allows you to do is it can automatically relate e-mails to the right kind of contacts and opportunities in the system. Also, it will allow you to send your availability to the -- your prospects and they can schedule meetings in your calendar. And once you send out e-mails, coming to the second question, it will also let you know whether the prospect opened it, how many times did they open it, if there were any links in the e-mail, did they even take that? So all this information will be provided to you thanks to Einstein activity capture.

Great. I think there are certain questions around costing as well. So again, just to let you know, on our website, you'll be able to find that it is of $25, which is again the USD format. But again, feel free to reach out to our Salesforce team. Our account executive would love to understand the number of users which are there, and we'll try to give you the best possible pricing, which comes up.

Kiran Pradeep

#14

We have stress in the call. If you have any pricing questions, you can reach out to him. But Shreyas, do you want to give any high-level overview to the customers today?

Shreyas Bharadwaj

#15

Not really, Kiran. I think after you pretty much giving a quick walk through, right? Definitely, this is the solution that at least for a small business, it will kind of digitally transform them, right, instead of using legacy systems, having Excel sheets, multiple sheets. It kind of puts everything into a single source, right? So I think this is a good start where you, as a business, can have everything in a single place. And then when a requirement comes in saying, hey, I would need to maybe integrate with different products, that's when we would advise you to kind of move into the advanced solutions that we have. But again, I think this is the best solution that Salesforce is offering for the small and medium business. Again, this is not just from our product functionality but also from a costing perspective, right, because we are looking at the price sensitive market that India is in today. So keeping all of that in mind, we've come up with this number. So again, if any queries regarding how the pricing would be for a number of users, all of it, I'm happy to jump on a call. You can reach out to me. Maybe I can also drop in my number plus my e-mail ID, so you can reach out to me for that.

Kiran Pradeep

Okay. So some interesting questions coming in. Like can you schedule a meeting with your prospects from Salesforce? Yes. Once you have synched your Salesforce with your Google or outlook calendars, when you create events in Salesforce, right, like on an opportunity, then we can definitely add the prospects from right there, and they will get e-mail notifications that you have scheduled a meeting with them. Another good question I see is, do I need a partner to implement Starter? So a very good question actually. See, one thing we have heard from our entrepreneur ecosystem and our start-up ecosystem is that Salesforce takes a lot of time to implement and configure, right? So that is why you would have seen the quick setup and the guidance baked into the platform. The idea is that Starter can be bought off the shelf by any company and configured by themselves. And it does not have any of the complex setup that is required in some of the higher versions. So you will definitely be able to set it up without the help of a partner. With that said, partners always comes with best practices of how to create a data model, best practices of what a sales process should be, so you can always consult them on that. But technically, Salesforce Starter can be configured without the help of a partner.

Sparsh Sharma

#17

Correct. So a few questions, I think, are lined up. So again, I think there's a question by Abijit. Is there any limit on data storage? So yes, every license comes with a limit. As of now, the data storage is 10 GBs, which you get and file storage is 1 GB that you get per user, right? And again, there are no custom objects, which can be created in Salesforce Starter. Again, just to let you know, the entire point of using Starter is that it's an entry level product into your CRM wall. If you need more customizations, if you need more custom-built solutions like project management, sample management. Again, I heard there was a question from manufacturing as well. So there is a different process in those cases altogether, which comes under manufacturing. So even if you are starting your business at a manufacturing level, if you just want to start managing your leads, service and marketing, which Kiran showcased, you go for Starter. But again, if there are a lot of complex processes which are involved, right, from sample management, project management, that is when you can again reach out to us a solution, like me and Kiran will help you, and we'll help you to identify the right solution that can tailormade to the requirements which are there. There is one more question from Vidhan, what reports will be available in Salesforce Starter. So there are, again, out-of-the-box reports, which you get around sales, service and marketing. But again, you can configure those reports as well with respect to the data that you want to see. Advanced reporting won't be available, which I think some of you would be aware who knows our sales cloud and service cloud offerings, which are there. Again, there are a lot of questions around API integration, direct connection to a third-party platform. So yes. Just to let you know again, APIs are not there in Starter, you will have to manually update the data. But again, if API is a requirement, then again, I would like to let you know that you can reach out to us. We will understand your requirements and we'll help you identify the right fit, which license will go, which suits all your requirements and needs at the organization level.

Got it. So I think there is one question from Vidhan. Landing page creation and e-mail campaign scheduling will be available in the Starter offering or not. If yes, how better it would be used for marketing automation?

Sparsh Sharma

executive
#19

So that's a very good question. That's a very good question. So usually -- no. So landing page creation won't be available with Starter. At the moment, the marketing capabilities are sending out bulk e-mail messages to your clients. And again, with the help of inbox, you can track who has opened that, who was not open that. You can track the e-mails at a lead level. But in future road map, we are planning to involve a lot of things from a marketing side with respect to creating a journey, creating a flow, which will help you to schedule e-mails and other activities. So as of now, it is in the road map. But currently, it is not there. Only bulk emailing would be there from the marketing standpoint.

Kiran Pradeep

And I see some questions about what customizations are possible in Starter? So I'll quickly take that because in the given standard objects, right, that you need to manage sales and service, you can add up to 25 custom feeds, right, in each of those objects. So we understand that you may have some unique business data that needs to go into your contacts, accounts or leads so that can definitely be added. Then once all those data is in place, the requirement for a CRM when you're starting out the company is to report on what it actually is happening. So definitely, you can go ahead and create your own dashboards and reports, the standard Salesforce dashboard reports, if you are familiar with that, you can go ahead and do that. But it -- Starter already comes with certain templatized dashboards that you can leverage for this purpose as well.

So I think there's another couple of questions regarding having different products from Salesforce. Is it possible to connect with Starter? So maybe making it more specific, can we connect a marketing cloud account engagement with Salesforce Starter? That's something I think I've got a couple of times on the chat.

Sparsh Sharma

#22

So to answer that question, Starter currently only has inbox that you can use with Starter. But again, we don't restrict our clients, like Kiran mentioned, to upgrade to either a professional edition to an enterprise edition. Where we can think of a possibility of making it a multi-cloud use case by integrating marketing our service modules onto our core bread and butter sales modules and service model, which is there. So can we do cold e-mail sequence? So as of now, like we mentioned, we can send bulk e-mails miles, but sequences is something which is there in the road map. So stay tuned. There will be a lot of updates which are going to come in. We have Dreamforce lined up in H2. And again, Starter is our flagship program, specifically tailor-made for India as a business. India has a growing economy, so we are doing a lot of upgrades there, right, from marketing sales and service. So there are going to be a lot of new features and additions that are going to happen in the next upcoming months. So please stay tuned on our website, on our Salesforce website. We are going to update a lot of things, and you will get to know when these sequencing and all things are possible. As of now, we have just launched this in the market, so we need to see how things are going, what are the requirements which are coming in. And looking at your requirements, we'll share with the product team to get it installed in our product road map as well. So there is a question from Costa. So again, I think -- I don't think it's related to Starter specifically, it's related to our Salesforce platform. So can Salesforce help capture scanning of business cards? So yes, it is possible. So again, we need to discuss more in details what kind of scanning that needs to be done. But again, I think maybe after this call, you can reach out to our account executive team, and we can again have a detailed discussion with -- along with the solution engineer to understand where exactly is it required. Mostly, it would be at a lean level, so yes, Salesforce, yes, but Starter, it won't be possible.

I think one more question, I think we missed, as I was scrolling down. Does Starter give the access to AppExchange?

Sparsh Sharma

executive
#24

That's actually a very good question. So just to let you know, team, yes, certain Starter and AppExchange will be supported, which is again only limited to adding any kind of custom fields into this platform because like Kiran mentioned, there is no customer objects which would be available. So all the AppExchange, which is bundled with only custom fields, that will be supported. But anything more with regards to customer objects, all the AppExchange won't be supported. So there is a -- you can check in the AppExchange whichever package that you're installing into your platform, whether it has customer objects or custom fields. If it has custom object, if it has only custom fields, then yes, it will be installed.

Kiran Pradeep

executive
#25

And team, when you go to AppExchange under any app in more details, it will show you which are editions of Salesforce it works with. So if it says it works with Starter, then you are good to go. But mostly, we are only expecting certain report packs or some custom field packs that will work with Salesforce Starter.

Sparsh Sharma

executive
#26

So I think there is one more question around quotation. Can a customized quote released through Salesforce for customers? Well, yes, it is possible. But again, with Starter, you need to upload your quote into this platform, which can be attached and send using an e-mail format. But if you want our Salesforce platform to create multiple code templates so that even you can create codes inside our platform itself. That is when you can go to our enterprise or professional edition, where you'll get all the forecasting and quotation capabilities as well.

Kiran Pradeep

executive
#27

Enterprise addition allows you to automatically send out quotations, get e-signature via any servers like DocuSign and create that order automatically, right? So our customers completely automate the lead to code process using our enterprise edition solution.

I think there's a very interesting question. So can we undo any task which is performed wrongly? That's a very good question. So I think, yes, it's completely up to how a business want to run its task. So let's suppose if today, I have scheduled a call with one of my clients. And they might say that I might want to schedule it maybe after 3 days or maybe if there is a report that I need to send, which has not been done currently. Either I can change the same task to a subsequent maybe future date or I can create one more task just to let your management know that there was one task which was done. It was not performed up to the expectation. So as a follow-up, we are creating one more task in the system. Either that would be the approach or we can again change the date, pending date, to complete a ask to a future date. Both the ways are possible depending on what's exactly the use case. So yes, to answer that question, yes, it is possible.

Got it. There are some questions regarding where can I learn more about it? And where can I get certified on Salesforce? So if you look at the screen on the right side, you can see that you can just Google Trailhead. So Trailhead is our free learning platform, but Trailhead will also give you links to the Salesforce certification program. You can see the latest list of certificates available and how you can enroll for those exams. Trailhead also has a Starter, Quick Look trail. That will walk you through all the features that I spoke about today so that you can rehearse it once more to understand what all Salesforce offers, right? And there are -- if you are aware, Salesforce also has a large user community, right? We call it Trailblazer community, and there are Starter places where you can go and ask questions like how someone else is leveraging Starter, what has been set up in Starter? How is, let us say, Einstein actually capture works. So all these questions will get answered in the Trailblazer community. I'm also seeing questions about whether there are partners in Hyder or whether they are account executives in Hyderabad or in Delhi and, et cetera. So definitely, yes, like we serve our customers throughout India. So make sure that if you are receiving a call from Salesforce post this meeting, let them know which region you belong to, where your company belongs to and the right account executive will get in touch with you. And we already took this question, but I see this again, right? Do I need to have a Salesforce partner to set this up? The simple answer is no, right? Like it has in that guidance that will walk you through the complete setup process. And the quick setup will let you quickly make changes like add a few fields here, add a few stages to your lead process, et cetera. So like, very simply speaking, no, you don't need a partner, but a partner will always come with its own best practices and knowledge about setting up these things. So if you find that helpful, please go ahead.

I think there's one good question By Costa just now. Are all changes done in Salesforce recorded so that it can be viewed in future? I think the historical changes, the time stamps. So yes.

Sparsh Sharma

executive
#31

I think that's a good question. I think as of now, it would be possible. But again, we'll double check on that, whether field history tagging be available. As of now, the short answer would be, yes, that would be possible. It's a platform capability, so it should be. But again, we will double check. And if there are any changes, we'll let you know. I think there was one more question in terms of how many standard objects do we get? So as of now, there are 31 standard objects that you get inside Starter. And again, you cannot create any new customer objects, so you'll have to play around with the standard objects. And any kind of customer fields that you can add, you can put that into the platform. So do we have any point and click automation capabilities? As of now, flows is not a part of start-up. Again, there will be a flow that we'll be bringing in the marketing with subsequent releases. So please stay tuned. There are going to be a lot of changes and additions that we're going to have in the Starter offering that we have. There is one more question from Santosh. Does it have any chat feature integrated? So if you are referring to our chatbot functionality, no, it will not be part of Starter. If you want to use it as a chatbot, I would suggest you can go to our service module, which is called Service Cloud Enterprise edition, where you can leverage our chatbot functionalities as well where. Again, I would suggest maybe you can set up a call with us after this session just to understand what all is there, what exactly would be the difference, and we will help you understand whether Starter is the right fit for you or whether you need to go to our sales model or service module altogether. Because again, the entire focus of this Starter is to start small, just get your leads, get accustomed to what Salesforce is all about, start mapping your leads, your tickets, send out e-mails from this platform. And once you think that your organization is getting mature, we need a better platform with a lot of customizations and computations, that is when you migrate to our bread and better solution, which is Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, which is there. So yes, I think there is a question, is Web-to-Lead available with Starter. Yes, Web-to-Lead and Web-to-Case are available with Starter. There is a question, what standard objects are available? So Abhijit, I would recommend you can sign up for our trial version. And in that trial version, once you go to the back end, which is basically object manager, you will get to see all the standard objects which are available there. I think we have addressed most of the questions. Any questions, guys, please feel free to post. We are here, and we just want you to get an understanding of Starter as a whole. Feel free to shoot any kind of questions. I think there is a question. I hope it is hacker-proof. So just to let you know again, the base of this platform is, again, our Salesforce platform, and we have an entire team sitting across the globe just to make it hacker-proof, which basically means all the kind of securities and data protection that we get. So yes, whichever security that we have for our other products, the same kind of security is applied to Starter as well. So yes, technically, this hacker-proof.

Kiran Pradeep

executive
#32

Yes. So team, the whole point of starter is that all these functionalities like cloud security, like CRM data model, bringing sales, service and marketing together. It was a bit difficult to get started with these because the enterprise edition was the starting point earlier. Now we are bringing this all to you in a combined package with Starter, right? And why this was helpful is because we noticed that most of our customers are migrating to Salesforce after a few years of using other platforms, right? And it is a painful for them. But once you're already running your business, you have your day-to-day operations, then you have to lift and ship from our old platform to Salesforce. With Starter, we are ensuring that you will get started the right way. You will get started on Salesforce. And as your processes grow more complex, you can upgrade to the higher versions so that you get the required functionalities.

Sparsh Sharma

I think there is one question from Vinu Nayak. The Starter app does not give an option to register a new user. I think maybe you can. So what Kiran has showcased you, there was a module on the right-hand side, which is highlighted by a question mark where you can actually look at all the different start-up guides. And within that start-up guide, there is a proper module, which basically allows you to follow a step-by-step process to add new users. So I would suggest, Vinu, you can go start your trial version. And there, on the right hand side, you'll get to see all the kickstart modules which are there. There, you will be able to understand how you can also allow your new users to be registered on that trial version itself. And once you are there on the trial version after 30 days, before it gets expired, you can reach out to our account executives to make it as a -- sign a contract with Salesforce to make it as a permanent [ org ] which will be provided to your company so that you don't lose your data there. I think there is one more question from Abijit Tewari. For API integration, that needs to be purchased separately. So no API integration is not supported in Starter, again, just to iterate that. And if you need a lot of back-end systems to be integrated to our platform, I would again suggest to go to our Salesforce modular service module, which helps you with integrating any kind of platform which allows APIs because Salesforce as a platform is an open API platform. Again, with Starter, it comes with certain caveats, so APIs are not present there. But again, with like I mentioned with future releases, we might also include that in later case as well. But as of now, it's not in the road map. How many users are supported for $25? That would be just one. But again, if you want more users, you can again reach out to our aid, and we can help you with that. Again, it's up to you how you want -- how big you want to start. You can start with 1 user, 2 users, 100 users. It completely depends on you.

Kiran Pradeep

executive
#34

Okay. So yes, all the prices of Salesforce are per user per month. So this $25 is also per user per month. So I think that answers that question. The new question I can see is from Abhijit again. Can we create segments of data for marketing purposes? So as we said, like right now, the marketing feature in Salesforce that is available is mass e-mail, sending out list emails. So you can definitely create multiple list views based on certain filters and send out list e-mails to those particular group of users. But it is not the segmentation functionality that you might be used to in Marketing Cloud. It is just a mass e-mailing feature. I think we have 4 minutes left. Any more questions?

Thank you, team. Thank you for spending a wonderful 1 hour with us, and I really like the responses. A lot to question. Hope we were able to answer all of them. And I hope in the last few minutes, all of you were able to sign up for the trial. So do get in touch with Salesforce like whichever place you are in and start your CRM journey with us. Thank you. One very good question. What about technical support? Yes, our standard technical support is available in business as 5 days a week to all the customers. Starter customers will also be able to contact Salesforce support. The details will be in our help site, like you can use our help site to raise a case. You can e-mail support@salesforce.com. There are multiple options to do that. Thank you.
